2  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Meet Indie Tim on: October 05, 2009 05:24:05 PM
This is Indie Tim. He is wearing a plaid flannel western style shirt, skinny jeans, and has a beautiful mustache.

He rides his bike to all of the local show. How else would he get such a toned bum?

He plays guitar and Harmonica, and he is my boyfriend. He always brings a re-usable bag shopping, and under that plaid shirt is a tee of a band that you've NEVER heard of.

Rawr!
3  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / Re: A cute lil pint-sized re-creation of Nyla's B-day outfit. PICS!!! on: April 01, 2009 12:42:31 PM
My goodness! I can just imagine how cuddly and smooshy that will look on her! My favorite part is the little details on the patchy skirt. The little bits of lace and rickrack!
4  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / A typical Q: how to sew with stretchy knitty knits! on: August 22, 2008 10:17:11 AM
I just aquired tons of beautiful soft knits, and I'm wondering which stitches on my machine I should use, and if you have any other tips. I'm planning on making womens clothing, most likely jumpers, dresses and shirts.
5  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Discussion and Questions / Re: Watchman - Rorschach's hat on: July 31, 2008 12:44:59 PM
Ahhh! Awesome! I'm making a whole group of watchmen dolls, but they'll be full body.
If the pillow is going to be flat, you could just use a few pieces of black felt as a shadow to make it appear that the hat is bent. Or, you could sort of make a dart on the inside of the hat before sewing it on.
6  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Re: Autumn Leaves Vintage fabric Tote on: July 31, 2008 08:49:12 AM
Thanks everyone!

Yeah, I knew I wanted a tree, so I just made some random squiggles on a piece of paper and cut it out. I was thinking of doing the roots longer, but I think I like it this way.

This is a tree. Sometimes, Trees turn orange. This is an orange tree.

Zigzag applique, vintage fabric, inside pocket goodness.

8  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / The Jane-Jane Sweet Summer Sophisticat bag! on: July 30, 2008 03:45:27 PM
I made this bag for my friend Sarah-jane. She's pretty much the most adorable person I've ever met. She encompasses everything that's good and sweet and natural and cute about the world.

The material was donated to me by another friends grandma! I got a huge box full of vintage unique patterns! There is also two vintage shiny metallic buttons on each side. I found them in a box of buttony things from my grandma.

This is the inside, with a pocket! A little lopsided, but still good.
9  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Re: Rorschach Watchmen Plush! on: July 26, 2008 04:32:20 PM
Yeah Yeah YAYAYAYA!

I am in the process of planning my watchmen dolls! I'm just getting the body pattern right...

I LOVE YOUR RORY! Omigosh, the way his legs bow out is adorable!
10  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / HELP! SO MUCH MATERIAL - NO IDEAS! on: July 26, 2008 01:13:53 PM
I'm trying to work on my clothing skills, but all I've got left is LOADs of printed, vintage, non-stretch cotton-ish stuff. It doesn't move well, so I don't know what to make, besides skirts (I have too many!)
