1  A sweater for my pooch in Pet-Related Crafts: Completed Projects by milanopsi on: March 04, 2010 06:20:42 PM
When i first got my little chi-weenie it was january and very cold in ny.  anyone who's had a puppy knows there are lots of trips to the vet and i couldn't find any clothes that were small enough for the little guy.  he was only 2lbs.  so i crocheted him a little sweater! it was my first crochet wearable.

i added the C for his name (which is chance)

please excuse the wee wee  Shocked  a pups gotta do what a pups gotta do...lol

this is him stepping right out of the cute outfit i bought him.

2  Stairs For My Pooch in Pet-Related Crafts: Completed Projects by milanopsi on: March 04, 2010 05:43:17 PM
I have a chihuahua/dachshund mix  (or Chi-weenie for short)  he is small and i was getting worried about him jumping on and off my bed all the time.  i checked out pet stores for pet stairs as a solution but they were either really ugly or super expensive.  so the crafter in me got to thinking and this is what i came up with.  sorry i don't have any in progress pictures.

i bought two unfinished step stools at ac moore.  i used painters tape to map out the design i wanted and used paint i had left over from when i re-did my room so that it would blend right in.

i stacked the stools on top of each other to form the stairs although they are sturdy enough for my little pup they are not stable enough for humans..lol

i used velcro to attach the stools so i can take them apart and store them under my bed and out of sight if i want to.

i'm very happy with the way it turned out. i gave the steps to my pooch for his 1st birthday and he caught on to using them to get on the bed rather quickly... now we're working on using them to go down.

3  Navy Purse with flowers and hat in Crochet: Completed Projects by milanopsi on: February 04, 2010 07:05:42 PM
Hi fellow craftsters!
I taught myself to crochet about 3 years ago and i've finally got the courage to share my work so here it is

i used the pattern below for the purse although the shape came out a little different i'm very happy with my finished product.

I am the worst when it comes to sewing.  i am much more of a hot glue kinda girl but i didn't think that would be the best method for the lining of the purse.  to make it a little easier on myself i decided to use a  an old pillow case, i had to cut it down a bit but at least two of the sides were pre-sewn for me. overall  it worked out pretty well even though it probably took me longer to get the lining right then to crochet the bag... lol

here is a hat that i made a few months ago i used the same yarn that i used for the bag so they kinda match without being matchy matchy.
