31  COOKING / Dessert / EASY peanut butter pie on: January 15, 2004 12:51:16 PM
don't be deterred by the tofu-i promise no one will ever guess it's there. Wink

in a food processor (or strong blender), combine:

8 oz. peanut butter, any kind
3/4 pkg. mori-nu tofu (silken, soft)
3/4 cup sugar or brown sugar

whip it up for a few minutes so it gets smooth 'n fluffy.

pour it into a graham cracker or chocolate cookie crust (store bought for extra-ease).

sprinkle with fun stuff-chocolate/peanut butter chips, chocolate shavings, etc.

chill for an hour or so (or freeze til firm for an ice-cream-y pie).

enjoy! Cheesy
32  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / fun fur & chenille silk-lined bag on: January 15, 2004 07:10:48 AM
there isn't a pattern for this-i made it up as i went, but it's easy as pie

the strap is 5 rows wide and is made of just the fun fur.  a bit of fur also trims the bottom edge.

the bag is perfectly suited to fit a wallet, say, of the comic book kind..
the lining is a piece of vintage asian-print silk, which is hand sewn and fastened in each corner and along the rim with lots and lots of thread.

33  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / old door-new coffeetable on: January 14, 2004 02:40:00 PM
finally, i can post pictures.  whew!  Roll Eyes           ok, here goes...

i had an old door.  and noplace to rest my magazines and cuppa tea Sad  so, i set that door on some cement blocks and circular- sawed off a panel on each end, then sanded the edges.
i got some table legs and finials from the hardware store, along with some brackets to attatch the legs with.
then i drilled holes in each corner the same size as the bolt in each finial, and attatched them.
finally, i painted everything.
it really needs a better paint job, but for now, it's serving it's purpose.

eww, pics are blurry.  still learning this one... Undecided

i've been in need of some inspired footwear since being pregnant and having my feet increase in size permanently  Tongue

i'd love to see pics of what folks have done to personalize their feet, especially felted shoes.
