1  Re: Kingdom Hearts Swap! GALLERY!!! in The Swap Gallery by Ariethine on: January 01, 2011 02:03:59 AM
Hey! Received from RikaHeart a lil while ago, haven't been home much though to take pictures. Unfortunately my cammie is missing, so I got a webcam pic for the moment. It's so cute. Smiley Posable too, wire pieces hidden on the inside.
Now off to bed for me, been a LOOOONG day. Happy New years everyone.

Hello All!! I received my large from HappyHina on... Monday! Cheesy I was going to post pictures then, but I got caught up in R&R in my awesome new blanket! Pictures!! Smiley

First up::
An awesome little charm. I think polyclay is the generic term to use?? Tongue I'm not sure what it's intended to be, but I put it on my cell, as I've never had a charm for it before (first thought was keychain, but I REALLY didn't want to break it. Sorry the pic is a little blurry.

My large item::
O.o A fleece tagged blanket smothered with awesomeness. It's warm and its the perfect size for my bed! :3

The underside! Cheesy

O.o The logo on the front. Neat stitching to boot! Cheesy

More extras!! (Even though they look like they took a long time too!) Love the art, sitting on my bookshelf right now with my bubbles. ^ ^ My favorite heartless, and I ADORE the little mushroom figurines!

I had another picture of them in the same pose, but it was with no flash, like this one much better. Smiley They stand a little bit less than 2" each, and sorry you can't see much detail on the purple one. \>.</ Adorable!!

She also sent me her old GBA game of COM! O.o Too much niceness. It's in my DS lite, so I can't take a picture of it without taking it out. But thank you SO much!

Smiley Thanks SOOO much HappyHina, loved it! And it came at the absolute perfect timing too! Cant let ouchies let you down!

4  Fabric boxes! in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General by Ariethine on: April 05, 2010 12:45:17 PM
These are fabric boxes I made for Easter for me and my family. They were the perfect size for holding little candies and such. Didn't want to make a commercial easter, but you "need" baskets right?  Wink

All of them lined up. >> Ignore the stuff underneath the table... didn't see that till now. >> Tongue

My mother's and mine:: ...Where did that string come from? Huh

For the Bf and "baby"brother::

For my grandmother and little brother:

I'm really happy with the way these came out. Smiley Gonna be good to make lots of these for me and for gifts. Smiley You can fit about 4 soda cans in them with room to spare. (Just for size reference.)

Comments and criticism are welcome!!

OHMAHGAWSH!!! I've been waiting for this! I totally forgot it was April already! Woot. I'm off to finish the 37th row of my blanket.

This is it for the 36 1/2 row progress pic.

6  Re: 2010 DeStash-Along in Craftalongs by Ariethine on: March 31, 2010 10:28:16 AM
Nah... I remember when I actually used to CARRY my books. >> I got man shoulder muscles. Not cool. Very unflattering. Can't wear strapless... ANYTHING anymore. Tongue I'm thinking of making at least one grocery bag out of an old green curtain stash fabric I have, so I can put it in my mom's purse set, and have it match. I'm also going to use them as WIP bags too! I have a blanket in progress out of stash yarn, and I keep it in a plastic grocery bag. It's probably time to replace. >>

Speaking of which, I took a pic last night of my progress. I have 35 and a half rows done on it. Cheesy It's been very effective in destashing the yarn! Sorry it looks lopsided... it really isn't. >> I promise. Tongue

7  Re: Quilts for Kids Quilt-along (Charity for Kids) in Craftalongs by Ariethine on: March 31, 2010 10:21:55 AM
Here is the top to my quilt for kids quilt. I really like how it came out. All the corners were almost perfect, and the fabrics are so cute!

Ignore the wrinkles, I lost it for a little while, and it got smooshed.

>> Ignore the lumps too. Those are my ferrets. I have to wash before I can quilt it anyway because my cat found it for me. If you know what I mean.

D'oh!! I totally forgot to put in the pics of my latest projects in the last post, and for some reason, it doesn't want to let me edit. Sad

OMGOMGOMGOMG THE SLIPPERS! I finally ripped the too big (by one dang hook size btw!!!!) cuff off the other slipper and crocheted it all up again.

Aaaaand... the key fob that I was going to give as a part of my mom's birthday set, but gave it as a "cheer up" / "just because I love you" present.

I think it's got gorgeous coloring. (It was the ONLY green fabric I liked that was acceptable to use for mom at HF.)

9  Brother's Birthday Present:: Wallet and Ipod Case in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by Ariethine on: March 23, 2010 08:55:20 PM
My little brother's birthday is in April, but I didn't know how much time I would have come that time, so I decided to knock it off early. Smiley

Wallet is from craftbits tutorials, and the ipod case was all my design.

If I had to be honest, I wouldn't really recommend the wallet pattern, but it's not too bad. The card sections are too big, and the velcro like that isn't the best option.

Cash and receipt slot.

The back pattern:: I love it, but I would have preferred to have a major part of the dragon on it.

The front of the ipod case:: Has a button and loop closure to hold the flap down, and a cut out on the top, so he can plug in his headphones.

The back:: You can see the cut out at the top, and the loop wraps around a pant loop, so he doesn't have to hold it or stuff it in a pocket. The front is high enough that he doesn't have to button it to keep it from falling out.

Okay, I finally have something new to show you guys. It's not nearly completed, but I desperately wanted to show it off... okay, my last trip to Ohio for thanksgiving, daddy dearest tried to bribe me to go by saying he'd take me to the fabric store. I was already going anyway, bribe or not, so before we left, he took me to Joann's (YAY!) All the mats, (2 yards of each fabric, a pack of batting, fleece for backing) all cost about 100 or so I think. So each time I pull the fabrics out, I see it and I get frustrated that it was just sitting there.
Finally got the inspiration to make it.

It's going to be a present for me and the bf on June 5th. (I hope I can finish it by then.) Our 3rd year anniversary (not married, just together) present. I adore him so much I'm going through heck to make it. Tongue

When I was picking them out, I picked them by how much I liked them individually, and by the color. (Wanted some purple in it, but he's partially colorblind, so it would have messed him up.) Sad   Looking at them later, I thought it would never fit... So I just did it in the best way I thought it would look, and lo and behold I love it.

It's a surprise, even though he's holding it. I told him it was GONNA be for him, but I wanted it for me instead and that if it worked I'd make him a green one. If I can finish it early, I can put it in a box when he's not looking, and tell him I scrapped it or gave it away cuz I didn't like it, and by June he'll have almost completely forgotten about it. :3

Sorry for the long winded rant, I just adore this project SOOOOO much, and I'm so excited. I'm really thinking about getting more of the middle panel fabric so I can make it twice as wide instead of making an immense amount of rows. What do you guys think??

Okay, last thing, I promise!!! O.o Just about the length, he's about 6'3" so the quilt (without any of the borders on yet) is basically about as tall as him, he's holding it over his head. I did increments of 3 and 6" blocks after sewing seam allowances. (Like quilts for kids) Other than my quilts for kids, this is my very first quilt top and I'm kind of winging it and cutting out the pieces as I go. Smiley

Please tell me what you think??
