I made these shirts for my friend Maggie and I. This is a picture of mine, her's turned out a lot cleaner but alas it is already in the mail, therefore I can't take a picture. I used purple paint on a black v neck tee.

And yes this is in reference to Mr. Feeny from Boy Meets World. Smiley

Thanks for looking!

14  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Re: First crochet projects: baby blanket and baby mittens on: December 10, 2012 06:25:38 PM
I didn't have a pattern, I just kept going around and around. The only increasing I did was I chained 2 for each corner. Maybe I should have chained 4 instead since I was doing a double stitch?

Thanks! Smiley

My friend's wife is having a baby in about two weeks so I made her a baby blanket and some baby mittens. I did the whole blanket in rounds (except the very center), though I'm assuming it'd be more usual to make squares and stitch them together. Did the blanket come out somewhat wavy because I did it in rounds or did I do something wrong? The blue part is single stitch and the rest is double stitch. Thanks for looking!

Here is the very first thing I've ever crocheted, a hat, and what I made with the left over yarn, a square (a cleaning square perhaps?). The yarn is black with specks of color. Thanks for looking!

Hello all, it's been a while since I've posted but I'm glad to be back!

I just taught myself to crochet (with the help of the internet) last month and these mittens are one of my first projects. I crocheted them for my friend Maggie, her favorite color is purple and she loves mittens. Also, sorry this is the only photo I have, I realized I hadn't taken any photos when I was already at the P.O. so I just took a quick shot with my phone.

I like the way the thumb turned out on the mitten on the right better than the other. When I was reading about how to make thumbs, there were several techniques I came across. I didn't really like any directions I found so I just did my own idea and made them in rounds and decreased when the thumb was long enough until it closed off. Any ideas/pointers on crocheting thumbs from seasoned crocheters?

Sorry for the late response, I haven't been on here in what seems like forever. For the khaki shorts I believe I used an old pair of pants or shorts or something as the pattern. Smiley
