1  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Anime Magazine Bag on: April 23, 2009 07:42:10 PM
I haven't been on here or actually anywhere on the interweb for along time because my computer was infected with viruses.
I missed so much amazing stuff!
I've made a lot of stuff in the meantime, but to lazy to post all of them, but here is the recent:

I made this bag out of anime magazine for a friend.
I liked how it how turned out.
I'm calling "Trains to Tokyo" because I liked how it sounded.
I was thinking about calling all the stuff I make that.

Criticism and comments much appreciated
2  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Tissue box on: October 04, 2008 10:27:19 AM
The flu season is coming,
and I wanted a tissue box for my room,
but they were all too big
and looked like a grandma's wallpaper.
and not even the good kinds.
so I made a small one
out of cover stock
and a failed attempt to free-hand a zebra[ish] print

3  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / flowery green bowl on: September 19, 2008 07:53:19 PM
I bought a black bowl from a tag sale
and it had some potential
I started to paint it green with some super cheap acrylic paint.
It was really cheap, both ways.
I had the intention to paint some sort of greenery on it.
But every time I painted on it, the paint chipped off.
So I got this idea of using a toothpick
and picking the paint off to create a flowery design
if I said that correctly.
and this is how turned out

It turned as a weird Victorian-like bowl.
The inside:

Being an Indian, I have a HUGE obsession for bangles. This is just a couple.
I'm thinking of making more of these bowls, but in better design and color and have a small shelf for each bowl.
what do you think?

oh p.s I'm not sure where this goes. I don't know if its reconstructed or not, so sorry in advance if its in the wrong place!
4  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / "Duct tape is like the force.... on: September 19, 2008 02:24:57 PM
it has a light side, a dark side, and it holds the universe together" --Carl Zwanzig

My mum has always, ALWAYS, made a HUGE deal about me keeping my magazines. I don't have the heart to throw out all my Alternative Press, Spin, Rolling Stone, Vogue (Teen Vogue too), Elle, Craft Magazine(s), juxtapoz and Bust. [on off-topic note: I know I have a lot of magazines, I like to read] So finally got my lazy ass and made the bag from this tut: https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=45643.0
[just modified a bit, I guess?]
thanks craftin' pretty!

super stoked
my bro and I think it looks kind of ugly
but I have an affection for stuff that look ugly
I warn you with the loads of photos

The grey border killed it, but I was too excited/impatient to find the black duct tape.
The handles were from those belts from those grade school jeans that come with the belts.
It holds thing pretty well.
It holds 2 textbooks and a binder

sorry. I love these pictures. I arranged it so that my dark shoes would pop out with brighter magazine papers and the magazine bag to be on the side with darker magazine bags.
5  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / skinny jeans on: September 14, 2008 07:42:42 AM
a very unoriginal topic
but I love them
and it came out okay for it to be my first time:

I turned some flare jeans:

into some skinny jeans while watching Joe Strummer:

so they don't fall down anymore after wearing them for 2 hours
I added buttons to the waist, so that I don't wear a belt that day
and they start sliding down
I just fasten the buttons on the sides
If that makes sense?
6  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Bangle on: September 14, 2008 07:35:13 AM
I made a bangle out of the
the empty duct tape rolls

7  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / simply put: papercraft on: September 14, 2008 07:29:34 AM
Major kudos...if you know who it is:
My brother and I made this during a James Bond Marathon
He found it online, and is printed on card stock
It took us  long time to assemble
It didn't help that I fell asleep during Casino Royal (I think its the worst one)
Anyway it was our first time to do something like this
I think it turned okay:

We'll do better the second time!
8  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / picked up new techniques from India on: September 02, 2008 02:44:40 PM
I'm not sure where this would go
but if its not supposed to be here
delete it!

So I haven't been on here forever
I went to India for summer break
and got back about a week ago
to be piled with homework

they have beautiful needlework there
and my grandma taught me some different styles there

I hope you can see clearly in this picture
My camera died last year
so I use this ancient digital camera
with a broken screen

They used mirrors, which is that big square
and they use jewels
and other stuff
that I don't want to bore you with
if you want to know
let me know!

much loveee
9  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / a lady on: June 24, 2008 07:15:34 PM
an Asian women design that I absolutely love
my mom got me the bucilla needle craft kit
except the iron on didn't show
so I drew it on with a pen and it came out a little different
I still love it

10  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / tank, skirt, shirt, cardigan on: June 24, 2008 07:08:31 PM
I haven't been on here lately
but schools finally over
so I can be on here more
and finally get to make stuff

The pictures are pretty bad, they were taken in rush, they don't do justice

so I made this babydoll tank for an extremely huge white polo:

I took these two shirts. The yellow one has a flowery designs that reminded me tree barks:

The tie cuff. I loved the design and literally had to beg my mom for it at goodwill. it reminds me of star wars for some reason.

The Paperbag skirt. Not really.
Its actually a pillowcase I found. It looks strangely to the bathroom wallpaper. Right? I still liked it for some reason. I think I'm drawn to stuff my mom doesn't. [I still like stuff she picks though]

Anyway, I don't know how I did it, It was supposed to be a dress, but it came out like this, so I just left it:

The detail at the waist, that makes it look like a paperbag skirt

I made a cardigan from a Delia's shirt. Maybe you seen it? because I don't have the before picture. Sorry, I always forget bout that part.
It kind of looks crooked in the picture:

yeah. Thats it.
muchh love
