33  (New pieces added!) My boyfriend is so Goth! in More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works by WildeHeart2105 on: January 06, 2009 11:28:11 AM
I just love that title lol. It's true though! He's also very modest but I'm so freakin impressed with his latest two pieces I had to share them on here! Hopefully you guys will leave some good feedback so I can show him that I'm not alone in thinking he's pretty talented!

He's hoping to get into a good art program next fall and will probably include these two pieces in his application portfolio.

The first one is acrylic...

This last one is a sketching he did

34  Re: Grad Student Supprt Swap GALLERY in The Swap Gallery by WildeHeart2105 on: November 07, 2008 06:02:06 AM
Great notebook cover! That pattern is amazingly perfect!

I received from Amber yesterday!! It's funny...I left work early to come home and finalize my picks for phd programs and as soon as I got here the mailman came to the house to get my signature for the package...perfect timing  Grin

The group shot - a notbook made from the binding off an old book (LOVE this idea), cute keyboard earrings, a lovely handmade card, invitations for my "I finished my thesis party" and a little jar for my coffee! Amber said it's common in Canada for people to carry their coffee around in mason jars, since their almost leak proof and a good way to use old jars...I loved it!

Btw - the most amazing tasting chocolate covered coffee beans were included in the jar  Grin I actually never drink coffee because I can't stand the taste of it...but I tried one of these last night and not only do they give you enough energy to bounce off the walls for hours, but they were insanely delicious!! I love everything thank you so much amber!!

35  mini skull tote in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by WildeHeart2105 on: May 04, 2008 10:36:36 PM
My first ever sewing project! Well, I say it's my first but my bf actually did most...okay, basically all of the sewing  Grin I came up with the idea and cut out all of the pieces though! I'd like to eventually add a cameo and some ribbons hanging off of it on the front, but haven't found one that I like yet.

Comments and suggestions welcome!

36  Black and White Photo Table in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by WildeHeart2105 on: May 04, 2008 10:30:02 PM
I actually did this table years ago but thought I'd share some photos and get some opinions on it!

I purchased the table at a thrift store for about $5, spray painted the wooden base black and covered the top with black and white photos I got from a book on the clearance rack at a bookstore. There all photos from the 60's and 70's with the exception of a few random b/w postcards I had (and yes, that is Joey from Friends on there...I was 16, what can I say!). I then had a piece of glass cut for the top and voila, tres chic!
