1  Tote / blanket? Help, please! in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Discussion and Questions by Gillama on: April 22, 2009 07:23:54 PM
Long story short, I've been looking ahead to the summer months (mainly Bumbershoot! Yeah!) and there are two things that I foresee needing quite often: a blanket, and a bag that still has space to hold things around the blanket. Thus the blanket bag!

All Google had to offer was blankets that folded into a bag shape (also handy) but had no actual use as a bag. So I designed one! Only I need your help as to whether you think it'll work, yada yada. Here's a little draft of what I was thinking:

(if anything's unclear or impossible to read just say so and I'll try to clarify)

Any suggestions? I know it's going to be a little bulky, but size had to be sacrificed in the bag in order to make the blanket any kind of decent. Thanks so much for helping out!

3.  Something, such as a long grammatical construction, that is intricate or complex.

C&C greatly appreciated!

4  If your eyes are the windows to your soul... in More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works by Gillama on: April 08, 2008 10:00:17 PM
then windows must be the eyes of schools?

I'm thinking of entering one of these two into a contest (about doors and windows, haha) but I'm just not very sure. Any comments/criticism are verrrrrrry welcome.  Grin Thanks for looking!

Wow, this is such a great thread! I've seen some really great stuff on here.  Shocked

Here's a few of my own, from wayyy back when my life wasn't controlled by homework. Please tell me what you think!

6  Shrug-type button up, woo hoo! in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by Gillama on: March 29, 2008 07:34:57 PM
So I'm smack in the middle of my spring break, as many others seem to be, and I had predetermined I would do SOMETHING constructive during my two week break. One week in, and this is what I've found myself with:

One ill-fitting and unfinished shrug. (If you would call it that)

My camera has no self timer, so sorry for my odd stance. This little beauty came from a trench coat sort of jacket, so all I really did was cut it and sew new seams. I had hoped to make a skirt from the bottom, but my mom refuses to help me with these endeavors so that project ended in utter failure.  Lips sealed Thanks for looking, though!

7  Peace, love and lino! Now with more pictures. in Other Image Reproduction Techniques: Completed Projects by Gillama on: February 25, 2008 09:13:57 PM
One of my first finished carvings, I'm fairly proud. Especially since I only nicked myself once!
The 'peace' was already carved when I received the block, as were some of the dots, so I just ran with the idea. My side doesn't match up at all though.

Please let me know what you think! (Also please excuse the atrocious green carpet. Wasn't my choice.  Wink )

Thanks for the interest, now for some action shots, eh? =]

I've been too busy lately to get rid of the spots picking up extra ink, but I've promised myself that it WILL be done!
