1  COOKING / Recipes and Cooking Tips / Re: Which is your favorite cookbook? on: January 24, 2009 04:06:03 PM
My favourite is How to Cook Everything: Simple Recipes for Great Food by Mark Bittman.  It has great tips and techniques on using cooking utensils as well as fabulous recipes.

The new edition is fabulous. There is very rarely something I want to cook that i can't find a recipe for in this book.

4  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Re: Imperfect dildos and butt plugs on: September 16, 2008 03:45:29 PM
This thread really cheered me up the other day.

My boyfriend has had an ongoing conflict with a person he works with, and was feeling really upset. I remembered reading this thread a few months ago, and spent the rest of the afternoon thinking about affixing forty-some dildos to this persons car while she was at work as revenge.

I'm just imagining her going down the highway with them wobbling all over the place!

Not a very crafty idea, but it cheered me up.
5  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: Shawl to skirt on: May 18, 2008 06:49:38 PM
Hmm... I think it would look even better with the long parts on the side instead of the front and back. Love the colors!

A coffee can with holes punched in the bottom, or a milk carton or jug with the top cut off and holes punched in the bottom should work fine as long as you don't need to grow anything super big.

Hope she's loving Western! Bellingham is such a beautiful place to live (though I am of course a bit biased... since I live here)

What a wonderful book!!

I like it with the horns. As for the body, I would just make it separate and attach it, like they did for this amigurumi: http://crochetme.com/assembling-amigurumi

Would've never thought to use ribbon as the insert. It looks darling!

The purple one kind of reminds me of brains...

But maybe there's something wrong with me. Smiley
