1  Re: Givers and Needers Round 9 Gallery in The Swap Gallery by bonzablue on: April 10, 2011 04:41:08 AM

Littlebluegirl sent me my parcel about a week ago - I have had family here from South Africa - so this is the first time I have been able to get the pics onto my computer. So I apologise for the delay in posting pics.

I was very lucky to receive a lot of different knitting needles, a huge bag of buttons, a tape measure and so much more !!!!

The pattern books will come in handy as will the lovely collection of yarn.

Thank-you very, very much. xxxx

Not exactly the phot - can not find it on my puter right now - but this is one very similar - taken when we were there in 2005. This shows more of the left of the harbour ....

4  Tenby Harbour in Needlework: Completed Projects by bonzablue on: December 17, 2010 01:03:03 PM

This piece took about a month to work on - in between getting other presents made for Christmas !

We lived in the UK for 10 years, and loved to holiday in Tenby, Wales. This was taken from a photo I have of Tenby and inspired by some coasters I bought while there. We are now in Australia - so wanted a reminder of the UK.

I only used split stitch here I think.

Hope you like it !! Oh and sorry it looks so creased I was so excited to have finished that I just took the photo then ans there !

PACKAGE ONE - for BonzaBlue (Miss Disney's Team)

I have received my parcel from handsymalone yesterday - It was a heavy box full of goodies...
Unfortunately the Snickers Bar did not make the pile of candy !
The Candy was sentbecause when Handsymalone missed it so much when she lived here in the UK - I ate the Snickers bar yesterday - but everything else will be hidden and eaten slowly !

The bubbles smell lovely and are for my two children - I may help to blow them as the do smell really nice ! I have put them away until we have a nice, sunny day.

Next is a lovely pair of opera length fingerless gloves - these will come in very useful here in winter, they fit perfectly thank-you very much - love the colours as well.

Claire the guardian dragon is sitting next to the gloves - she is holding a tigers eye stone. Her new home is on my necklace holder next to my bed.

The necklace is cute - there is a heart inside saying bite me representing her new enjoyment of Vampiresque movies!

The fascinator is fab - just had my hair done so will try it out soon !

The ball of wool is one of HandsyMalone's favourites ... it is sitting in my wool basket awaiting transformation into something gorgeous !

And finally the three tinned candles smell gorgeous too .... they sit on my craft box - and yes I too open their lids and smell them ! Yummy !

Anyway thank-you HandsyMalone for all the yummy things they will be used / eaten and enjoyed !

I received my second parcel the day before yesterday. It was a lovely parcel.... full of interesting goodies!

Inside the parcel were -
* 3 head bands - in my favourite colours  - I think only 2 made the photo as I was already wearing the third !
* 2 pairs of funny socks - well different socks ! I can not wait to wear them.
* a set of magnets / note books wit h beautiful butterflies on - these have been put away for my new house.
* a lovely bracelet and ear rings - lovely beads used. I have suddenly started to wear bracelets and love beads!
* a lovely fabric lunchbox holder including a hand painted lunchbox - inside this was -  chopsticks, wasabi and soup. Oh and three boxes of strawberry Pockys - the box in the photo was empty as were the other 2 ! They were yummy !!!

Yet again another lovely parcel !!! Thank-you Handsymalone - a great parcel .... I will send more rolos to replace the ones your puppy ate !!!

HUGS - Bonza Blue.

7  Re: 100 Facts Swap Gallery in The Swap Gallery by bonzablue on: July 08, 2009 10:51:42 AM

I received my parcel today - made even better because I didn't realise it was my swap parcel until I tore the envelope open !

Everything was wrapped up so it was really fun to unwrap it all.

The 2 FQs are in my favourite colours - and will be used - thinking a bag but not sure yet!
The notebook is covered with mosaic tiles - very fun - will use this as a diary on my holiday to Australia!
The orange button bracelet and necklace set is lovely and I am wearing them already ! Along with one pair of earrings!
There is another necklace - a string of beads with magnets on and can use it in many ways!

The pincushion - with a bottle top bottom is sitting next to me so I use it instead of my sofa arm !
There are some extra beer bottle tops - which I may use to make more pincushions!!!

And there was some lovely stitch markers and a stitch holder too. A lovely parcel.... Thank-you katcal - it was a lovely parcel to receive!!!
