1  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Completed Projects / Re: A Frame Tent on: March 06, 2013 08:50:45 AM
Thank you both. They have used it for so many things from a doctors office to a bears den. Definitely worth the simplicity of it so their imaginations can run wild
2  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Completed Projects / A Frame Tent on: December 29, 2012 11:17:25 AM
So I made this A Frame tent for my two girls 32 months and 10 months for Christmas, it was an absolute hit! I am so impressed with how quickly it came together. There are so many tutorials on this if you google it and I just took two or three and came up with this. I can adjust the width and height if I loosen the bolts on top. I also didn't use my sewing machine at all, I just took a bolt of fabric with a little of 6 yards of fabric and draped it over then stapled it to the bottom pieces. It's also much sturdier than I thought it would be.
C&C appreciated!
Happy new year

my toddler saw me browsing and is in love with your bear! I might be busting out the crochet hooks in the next few days for one of these guys!  Thanks for the link
4  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Re: Accordion Wallet on: November 13, 2012 09:06:51 PM
Thank you both very much. I made another today for myself. I had originally put bright blue binding on it, thinking it would bring out the blue in the fabric... big mistake. My husband said it looked like a wallet from The Simpsons. I like the pink binding but I just might have to try and make my own binding of the same fabric for a more cohesive look...
5  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Completed Projects / Re: One can never have enough Batman undies on: November 13, 2012 11:33:49 AM
Sorry, just saw you bought the plain undies. Nursing a baby, caring for a toddler and reading on the internet causes one to miss a few details....

super cute!
Few questions, did you make the panties yourself too, pattern? And did you use straight acrylic paint with no fabric stabilizer and do you have a pictures of the effect the acrylic paint makes after washing?
7  QUILTING / Quilting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Applique Quilt on: November 13, 2012 11:14:11 AM
awesome advice from both of you and thanks for the link.

I think I'm going to do something in between. My machine is a old singer 401a,  and a satin stitch is really hard to achieve. I will post pictures when I'm done!

I made one of these for my first daughter and it wasn't as pretty as yours! Good job!
10  QUILTING / Quilting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Applique Quilt on: October 24, 2012 06:37:07 PM
so you think if I used heat n bond on my appliques and satin stitched it (or attempted to satin stitch, my machine doesnt agree) that it would hold up to all of the wear from a toddler?
