11  Re: Christmas Stocking Swap Rd. 10 Gallery in The Swap Gallery by littlefawnpug on: December 13, 2014 08:29:31 AM
I did two partners in this swap.  So, now its time to post photos from  sweetyetevil.  Receiving this, today really lifted my spirits, which needed some lifting this week.  Anyways....I'm waiting to open the gifts on Christmas but, I would love to share pictures of everything wrapped.  Beth, which item was the one you finished that you were the most proud about?  I want to save that one til last to open on Christmas morning.  So it can be the grand finale.  Cheesy
My stocking and a little sock monkey.  I adore pugs.  So, as soon as I saw the stocking I couldn't help but smile.  The pugs on the fabric looks just like my darling little Buddha.  And I also love sock monkeys so thought the little one was adorable.  Buddha loves them too and tried to steal the little monkey.  Smiley  I think I might have to give it to him.  His old monkey toy is so old...its loosing its fur.  And he sucks on it until he falls asleep, so I know he will love this new little monkey.

Now a group shot of the presents.  That Sesame Street paper had me cracking up.  And I am wondering what is wrapped in the bubble wrap.

My turn to add some photos to the gallery!!!  I received from mom2em today.  I will be waiting until Christmas to open the stocking.  However, there was a gift wrapped in fabric that didn't fit in the stocking.  So, I went ahead and opened it and placed the stocking under our tree for Christmas day.  Smiley Thanks mom2em!  Oh, and I loved your address label on the box. What a cute little dog!  Is it your dog?

Here is a group shot of the goodie filled stocking and two gifts that werentt in the stocking.

And here is the gift that I did open.  It was wrapped in the fabric and I thought "I'll open just this one little gift since it wont fit in the stocking."  Here is what I opened.  A Hollow book and inside the book was some owl bookmarks.  I plan to use the hollow book to stash candy in for a rainy day.   Grin

After an ordeal with the USPS my partner stitch and stones has finally received her package.  She hasn't posted yet though, so I assume that shes busy with real life.  So, I'll go ahead and post pictures of what I sent.  She said she lives in a small apartment so preferred small items so, I made her a little taxidermy deer butt and a unicorn head taxidermy.  I had so much fun making them that eventually I have decided that I need to make a pair for me as well.

I received my claim of sock yarn from Sylvan!  She sent 3 wonderful colors.  They are such lovely forest-like colors.  Which will be perfect to make socks for the hubby and kiddo for Christmas this year.  Smiley  Thanks Sylvan!

I received my angel package from I'm Sew Silly earlier this week.  She sent me a cute little amigurumi story time book.  Which is perfect, because I have a new little niece to knit these story book amigurumis for!  And, as an added bonus she sent me yarn!  Its a very interesting yarn, Im thinking about using it to make a mini sock monkey.  I have included a close up photo so everyone can see how interesting and yummy the yarn is.

Thank you I'm Sew Silly for being my angel!

I received from Im Sew Silly last week.  Ive been a slug though due to some issues on my side of the globe.  But I'm mending and finally posting photos.  She claimed me for a pug art.  She also included a skein of yarn and her kiddo helped out by helping her make some cards and picture.

Everything.  I think its really nice that her kiddo helped her out on the cards and even took the time to draw a picture.  I see a future Craftster in the making indeed!  Im Sew Silly, let your kiddo know her art work is lovely.  The Pug O' Latern card is adorable.

And a close up of the painting of my pug.  Im rather amazed with this.  I have tried to paint pug pictures in the past and find that getting the face right with all the wrinkles is a difficult task.

And close ups of the picture and cards.

Many thanks Im Sew Silly and tell the kiddo thanks too!  Smiley

Kittykill claimed me for scented wax cubes and baby onesies for embroidering on.  The box arrived yesterday and although it wasnt hot enough here to melt the cubes it was hot enough to get the whole box smelling absolutely devine.  Anyways, I received a pack of onesies.  Perfect for embroidering on.  I cant wait to get started!  And then she sent not one or two but FIVE packs of wax cubes.  The scents are citris/sage, lemongrass/ginger tea, mediterrian sea, red candy apple and beach.  Each one smells so good!  Thank you!

Alright, I recieved from Averia this past weekend.  The kiddo did all the myb unwinding and rewinding for me because of my wrist.  But the he had fun doing it, he thinks magic yarn balls are pretty awesome.  And this morning my wrist seems good.  So, I think I will do a tad of knitting.  Slowly of course though.  Anyways.........behold the goodies!

MYB before the unwinding.  Just look at all that sock yarn!  Its mega drool worthy!  I cant wait to put my footsies in socks that I make with it!

And, the goodies after the unwinding and rewinding of the myb.  Theres lots of jump rings.  The kiddo was like "Oh oh oh!  Use these to make that chain mail bracelet for me!  LOL.  Theres also d-rings.  Now I have all I need to make some harness's for my dogs.  They will be such stylish doggies.  And theres muslin too!  Our walls we be covered in hooplas now! Ah, and look little pug feet in the photo.  Hes a pro at getting his body in photos.  Photo bomber pro indeed.

Alright, heres my package that I recieved from quaggy.  She  claimed me for stamps, fabric and zipper pouches.  The amount of goodies she sent was such a surprize though!  She has totally spoiled me.  She sent me a ton of fabric, 3 zipper pouches, stamps and as extras she included cards and a knit kit!  I was so happy when I opened this package.  Thank you so much quaggy for your generosity and kindness.  Now, to show everyone the goodies.

First off we have fabric.  Its all so awesome!  I am so ready to get to sewing things with it!

And although its all great, here are my favorites.  Look at those cute little woodland critters!

then theres the zipper pouches.  check out the fabric quaggy used, yarn balls!  Ah ha ha ha!  Love it, and then theres a close up of the little yarn zipper pull charms.  So cute.  Also in the picture is a gel pen, stamps and blank card for sending snail mail to my loved ones in other states.

And lastly she included this neato knit kit.  I opened it after taking pictures and has a circular needle, 2 stitch markers, a needle, a book of knitting tips and stitch definitons and a whole heap of cards with knitting patterns.  Theres scarves, socks, baby booties, hat, leg warmers and other goodies.  I think the first thing I will make will be the baby booties.

Thank you so much quaggy!  Were on a tight budget so, I really appreciate all the goodies you sent.  Theres enough goodies to keep me busy sewing, card sending and knitting for a long time.  Smiley
