You could try to find some industrial strength sticky back velcro. stick one side to the wall, and one side to the canopy. I dunno, just something I saw on design on a dime, sounds like it's worth trying though.

I received from ruledbyvenus today but my camera has gone M.I.A.  Undecided

Hey ruled, could you post pics?

I'm glad it got there. The PO lady was giving me a hard time with postage and all. >_< I was almost afraid it would get halfway there and then get sent back.

But um, I haz no pics. And my camera and computer are usually not friends, so even if I had them, chances are I wouldn't be able to upload them.  Angry

Omg that is so freaking awesome! I should make one for some of my patients, they would love it!

I hope your sis gets better too.

Albeit they're not very good pics. Totally don't do your package justice.

Ah, flaking never crossed my mind. It's just insanely hard to get a good wifi connection in a nursing home, so I couldn't keep in contact. And I couldn't use my computer at home- considering I work 16 hours a day with about 2 hours commuting time, so my free 6 hours are spent conked out asleep.  Sad

Thank you for the lovely package, feelix! Sorry its been ages since I received and I didnt post pics. >.<  Major technical difficulties.

So, I got these happy goodies:
A shoulder bag, four coasters, two zip pouches (one of which I have been using as a pencil case since I got it) and a crochet hook roll

I also got some extra HK fabric, some Ziploc baggies, an ice pack and some Tupperware. I didnt get a pic of them, as they are down in the kitchen happily in use, but Im told that if you shop at target, you know what they are anyway.

Anime manga swap gallery

I received from the magnificent GirlOutlaw last week. Sorry I havent posted pics til now. Two full time jobs have been kicking me in the arse.

Anyway, my package of joy included:
A Nana door pillow, one side Shin, the other side Nobu
A FullMoon DS lite cozy
A Zero/Yuki Vampire Knight crochet hook roll
Cardcaptor Sakura barrettes and earrings
And an assortment of iron-on transfers

This is the inside of the crochet hook roll

And this is what the hook roll and DS cozy look like folded up

*sorry I couldnt get a good pic of the inside of the ds cozy, it wouldnt sit still. >.<

Thank you so much GirlOutlaw!
7  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: Japanese Lolita Fashion Swap [sign-ups 7/12-7/25, sendouts 8/20] on: July 25, 2008 09:50:46 PM
Okay, all partner PMs have been sent! Let me know if there's anything wonky [like if I sent your own questionnaire, or the pm you got doesn't match the partner listed on the first page]

Thought I'd bring this back up:

Do you think that because signups were extended, sendouts should be, too?
I mean, I was thinking.  Moost people in this swap want some sort of clothing piece, right?  Clothing takes a bit of time, so the time period might not be enough.
I dunno, just thinking!

Hmmm, I was just waiting to see if other people were in on the idea. I didn't want to just monopolize everything with a yay or nay. Because really, an entire outfit takes me like 3 hours to sew start to finish and I usually just knock it out all in one sitting. So, I don't really know what kind of pace other people work at.

If the general consensus is more time though, what say we make sendouts August 30? That give 5 full weeks. Sound good?

On another note--- signups are officially closed, and partners are now posted on page 1. Happy stalking!

Signups close tonight at midnight! All lurkers out there, hurry and send in your questionnaires!  Grin

Yay, I'm glad you like everything! I went way overboard making all the accessories cuz they were so easy to make I felt like it was cheating sending only one set [bag, belt, utensil holder]. I had TONS of fat quarters, and somehow they ended up into the, what, 6 or so sets I sent?  Grin Hey, variety is the spice of life. ^_^

And I was so proud on my grocery shopping trip. I avoided the candy aisle like the plague though, cuz for sure if I walked it, I wouldn't have been able to walk out of the store for under $20 like I did! I hope you enjoy trying out all the different recipes!  Cheesy
