1  I Knit a Brick Wall! in Knitting: Completed Projects by Crafty Thistle on: December 17, 2011 02:25:03 AM

I was at work on day and asked a co-worker how she was doing.  She told me she needed a "new brick wall".  So I knit her one -- in pillow form -- safe for beating her head against this one!

2  "Disposable" Contact Lens Containers in What the heck can I do with THIS? by Crafty Thistle on: September 16, 2011 12:31:27 PM

I have an eye problem and I need to change my contacts daily.  It kills me to toss the containers.  The box says they can be recycled but I still think there must be a crafty use for them.  I do have 2 ideas but am looking for some not so cumbersome -- string them together with jump rings and make a lampshade or curtain.

Any other ideas would be much appreciated!

3  The $2500 baby blanket in Knitting: Completed Projects by Crafty Thistle on: February 27, 2009 10:59:54 AM
I call it this because it took me so long to make it.  If I had been paid my work salary while I was making it, I would have been paid $2500!!!

The pattern is "Rambling Rows Afghan" by Cottage Creations (you can get it through Lion Brand's website).  It comes in 3 sizes, this is the medium.  I repeat, it took FOREVER!  But it was kind of fun Smiley

the colors kind of washed out in this one with the flash....

4  Play Pizza in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by Crafty Thistle on: November 02, 2008 08:33:26 PM
Hi everyone!  I made 4 of these to sell at my friend's children's resale store.

I got real pizza pans from the dollar store.  The bread and sauce are sewn flannel.  The cheese is shelf liner.  And the toppings are made from EcoSpun recycled felt.  And, for packaging, I also found 12"x12" scrapbook pouches.  I am super happy with how these turned out.  Enjoy!

So my sister loves sushi but lives in a small town with no sushi places.  It was her birthday this week so I made her some myself   Wink

I got the pattern from:

I altered it a bit and then just started making my own.
