1  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Beauty queen. on: July 29, 2017 04:31:41 PM
Two pieces of wall art for the bathroom.
2  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Golden Girl. on: April 05, 2017 10:03:34 AM
I have become even more obsessed with pineapples lately {pineapple has been on my tattoo wishlist for awhile}. Pineapples and all. gold. everything. So I made this sparkly little number.
*fun fact: I traced a pattern from Sublime Stitching to make the pendant*
3  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Goody goody gumdrops! on: April 04, 2017 03:00:44 PM
When I saw something similar on I immediately wanted to make this pom-pom planter. The rainbow of colors makes me so happy!  Grin I am brand new to plants, but I'm hoping to find a pretty succulent for it.
4  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / "Cute? He's the reason faces were invented! You idiot!" on: March 25, 2017 08:11:32 PM
My brother and his wife came to visit from back home in Pennsylvania, and I met my niece, Estelle (Stella) Louise, for the first time. As soon as I found out her middle name was going to be Louise, I wanted to make this. It's embroidered on paper, and I framed it in a $1 frame that I painted green (a little messily, I know).
She got a huge smile when I showed it to her, so I guess she likes it.   Grin

5  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Pretty Kitty ring dish. on: March 22, 2017 09:51:32 AM
{I hope this is the right place to post, since it's not jewelry exactly}

I don't wear rings often, because I have a horrible habit of taking them off and leaving them places.  Sad
But I saw this idea on Pinterest, and it was love at first sight!
{all supplies purchased at Michael's (already had the glue) *NOT SPONSORED*}

Original inspiration.

My version.

6  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Beach Please, Don't be a Lazy Daisy. on: March 08, 2017 02:44:57 PM
Inspired by Laura Gummerman's blog post on A Beautiful Mess.
I already had the tote & black letters. My Michael's didn't have the right trims, so I improvised a little.
Can't wait till it's warm enough for a beach day!

7  HOME SWEET HOME / Exterior Decorating / Yard Art / Gardening: Completed Projects / Flirty Birdie Bird Feeder on: February 22, 2017 01:33:57 PM
I repurposed a thrift store cup & saucer into a bird feeder. Can't wait to fill it up and watch the bird buffet!
8  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Pearl Embellished Turtleneck on: February 21, 2017 06:35:45 AM
This is my first post in a long time. I took a craft hiatus for many personal reasons, but now that I've started back up, I can't seem to stop! And it feels great to be back!  Grin

I usually stay away from turtlenecks, because I feel frumpy in them. Then I saw this idea from brit+co, and decided to give it a try.

I used all materials I had on hand: old black sweater, pearl beads (from a previous swap project, actually) and an old headband. The only thing I needed was embellishment glue, and I got a mini 3-pack of Aleene's fabric glues for $3.

I'm pretty pleased with how it turned out. It was an inexpensive, relatively simple project, though a bit time consuming. Though the glue is supposed to be washable, I think I'll go back over time, and reinforce each bead with thread.

And it will certainly help make the gloomy weather we've been having lately a bit more tolerable.  Wink
9  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Sparkly Jewelry Dish on: January 06, 2015 08:31:43 AM
I haven't posted in forever! I've made a few things here and there, but have definitely been in a major creative rut. Luckily, I've been feeling really inspired lately, and one of my goals for the new year is to be more crafty.
Yesterday I whipped up a simple jewelry dish, using things I already had in my supply stash -- small white plate, mod podge & glitter. I finished the whole thing off with a few coats of clear acrylic.
First completed project of 2015!

10  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / Where To Find Things To Recycle / Baby Food Jars/Mini Jars on: July 20, 2014 11:14:03 AM
After bouncing around for a few years, I'll be moving into a new apartment with friends in a couple weeks. I've pretty much been given free reign for decorating the kitchen/dining area (Grin), and had an idea to repurpose tiny jars for bulk spices.
Does anyone know where I might be able to find them for free/super cheap? I'm located in the (San Francisco) East Bay (Fremont/Hayward/Union City) area.
Thanks for any leads! Smiley
