42  skully craft bag. in Sublime Stitching Embroidery by classy broad on: October 03, 2008 11:31:19 PM
whenever i take my embroidery on the go, i usually just toss everything into a tiny shopping bag -- which means needles and floss just floating around the bottom.

so, i stitched up this little pouch to hold all of my stitching *accessories*.
next up: matching craft tote!

funny, we both used the blender in our projects!
she couldn't have chosen better patterns for me!

44  50s dream kitchen, pretty pin-up & wise owls. in Sublime Stitching Embroidery by classy broad on: October 02, 2008 11:47:35 PM
i made these for la la laurrenn for my first ever swap.
i was tempted to keep the kitchen themed one for myself!  Cheesy

45  Re: How or where do you store your embroidery supplies? in Needlework: Discussion and Questions by classy broad on: October 01, 2008 07:33:27 PM
i picked up a few b&w polka dot *organizers* at michael's while they were on sale. i have a box that holds paper and cardstock, and a sort of bag with handles, that has 3 plastic tray-things in it, for most of my other crafty things.
i keep my embroidery stuff in this:

the back has another zipper pocket, where i keep all of my patterns.
i keep most of my blanks in a giant black tote.
i just wish they had more of the bag with handles, since my embroidery habit is starting to take over!

46  alkaline trio inspired pillowcase. in Sublime Stitching Embroidery by classy broad on: August 12, 2008 09:24:05 AM
i figured this line from one of my favorite alkaline trio songs would be perfect for a pillowcase!
since there are 2 pillows on my bed, any suggestions for the other?

47  red glitter earrings & sweater clip in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by classy broad on: August 10, 2008 09:03:42 PM
my first attempt at jewelry!
i just picked up "the naughty secretary club - the working girl's guide to handmade jewelry" by jennifer perkins, and i was feeling inspired.

i love anything red and sparkly, so i decided to try a resin sweater clip. then i made a pair of matching teardrop earrings.
the earrings are a little rough around the edges, but it's not too shabby for a first try, i think.  Wink

48  pin-up girl ornaments! [now with pictures!] in Winter Holidays by classy broad on: August 07, 2008 10:43:36 AM

i love retro pin-up girls, and always have a few calendars lying around, because i figure i can always come up with some crafty idea for them!

i made these a few years ago for my first christmas away from home.

i just picked up a box of clear glass ornaments from michael's, and painted them with glitter [these are my favorites!] or mod-podged tissue paper on them.
then i mod-podged on pin-up girl that i got from a page-a-day calendar.
i finished them with a clear coat of mod podge, and added some fancy hooks.

i look forward to seeing these sparkle on my tree every year!
