2  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Shrinky dink Day of the Dead Hello Kitty on: December 25, 2011 04:09:21 PM
I saw a version of this Hello Kitty on Pinterest and was immediately captivated, and knew I had to whip her up

I ended out using ceramic pens which came out rather interestingly, as they set to the cool plastic then when baked and the plastic shrinks it all puffs up giving it an awesome texture  Smiley something I make have to try again!

I thought it came out rather well  Grin

6  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Manatee painting, not 100% original ;-) on: June 24, 2011 08:01:01 PM
I'm the first to admit Im not much of a painter. But I do enjoy it  Cheesy so when I was asked for a manatee painting in exchange for a hoopla piece (yay!!) I said sure.

This is based (kind of copied truth me told  Tongue ) from an image I found online

I still think s/he's cute  Grin
7  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Baby Set on: April 06, 2011 11:51:40 PM
Some friends of mine are FINALLY having a baby. She has PCOS (like me) so to fall preggers naturally is a big thing and so, to help celebrate, I offered to make her a "wee something"  Cheesy
As usual my "wee something" turned into a bit more  Cheesy but thats ok

I cant remember what the names of all the patterns are, BUT I do know they are from Ravelry  Wink and that Ill be making them again  Cheesy
8  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Pullip Bed set on: January 07, 2011 08:19:02 PM
Ok, well Ive just gotten my first Pullip. Shes a Pullip Celsiy who Ive renamed Madison  Smiley
Im slowly working on making my own dolls house. Its just a bookcase but it works fine (plus, unless you uctually walk into my bedroom and right up to it, you have no idea its a dolls house  Wink  Cheesy )

This is the bed I made. Its the thickest balsa wood I could buy (last year, so Im not cheating in my challenge) and I cut the strips and glued them with balsa cement. Its about 35x24cm so its Queen size  Cheesy

The mattress is just polystyrine hot glued to the right size (pva took too long lol) and a fat quarter wrapped over the top and hot glued

It comes complete with hemmed sheets and pilliows with pillow cases

I got so fussy with the pillow cases they even have that wee fold over pieve on the inside that stops your pillow falling out  Smiley

Next step is making a quilt  Cheesy oh, and finishing the rest of the furnishing for the dolls house
