22  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / Barn quilt Christmas gift on: December 22, 2010 07:01:29 AM
This year I wasn't sure what to get my boyfriend for Christmas so I decided to make him a cheesy and corny quilt.  Him and I really like barns so I found a paper piece pattern for a barn here: http://www.quilterscache.com/T/TheOldRedBarnBlock.html.  I made 5 barn blocks and kind of freestyled from there.  The cow print is a nod to my nickname Maggie Moo, lol.  I wasn't able to machine quilt because my machine is too small and the fabric was buckling when I tried so I tied it at the corners.

23  CLOTHING / Shoes: Completed Projects / Re: Harry Potter & Voldemort on: November 15, 2010 10:01:32 AM
I'm pretty sure that I need a pair of Harry Potter shoes like these in order to go on living.  Fantastic job!
24  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: Ron and Harry Escape from the Spiders T-Shirt on: October 13, 2010 06:14:52 AM
I need this shirt in my life.  I too hate spiders, but I would wear the crap out of this shirt.  It's a sort of subtle reference to Harry Potter, too, which is nice.  Excellent job!
25  CLOTHING / Shoes: Completed Projects / Re: Avatar Shoes (Not the blue people Avatar, either!) on: October 13, 2010 06:10:04 AM
These shoes seriously kick ass!  They're awesome and now I want a pair with Appa on them.  Excellent work!
26  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / The Happy Hooker's PDQ on: September 14, 2010 12:25:04 PM
First, let me start by saying that I have been away from Craftster for far too long.  It's good to be back.  Life just got a little crazy and I wasn't able to frequent the forums as much as I would have liked.

Okay, second, I was looking through the book Stitch 'N Bitch Crochet while I was at work and my co-worker/friend absolutely needed to have the PDQ hat that is in the book.  So we went to AC Moore and picked out a trifecta of beautiful colors and I got to working on it ASAP.  Well, I got 3/4 of the way done and the shape was more of a beret than a hat.  I frogged the whole thing and started over.  I modified the pattern a little bit.  For example, I only did 10 dc in a magic circle to start it.  I also added 3 extra rows because it wasn't working out to be long enough.  Oh!  And the pom pom on top is an extra feature.  In the end I think it turned out pretty awesomely:

27  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: Dresses, dresses, dresses! (7 of them--massive post!) on: July 23, 2010 08:38:25 AM
Your dresses are amazing.  The sheep dress and the dress with the small heart cut-out are my favorite.  Excellent work.  Any tips on how to do a heart cut-out detail?

This would look killer on black aida.  I love it!

The first pair look like cartoon eyes!  That's so neat.  The pinwheels are amazing.  The black pair are very chic.
