2  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Wedding bells wedding gift on: September 15, 2012 10:40:05 AM
It's been a long time since my last visit and I'm sorry about that.  On a better note, this past June my cousin got married.  Note the happy couple:

I wanted to give him and his wife something more personal than a gift bought off a registry.  I buy Crochet Today magazine every time there's a new issue and I found a pattern in it called Wedding Bells Blanket...

And I knew that's what I wanted to give them.  It took me about a month to make it and I was happy with the results:

This is on my full sized bed, just to give a size reference.

And just as an extra, a picture of my fiance and I at said wedding:
3  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: Sock Monkey/ Sock Critter Swap Round 5: SU 05/01-05/15 on: May 08, 2012 05:48:19 PM
If I wasn't working on a blanket for my cousin's wedding I would totally sign up for this.  Sock monkeys are so much fun! Especially when you use socks with crazy patterns or colors.
4  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Re: Dementor vs. Patronus on: March 27, 2012 01:33:14 PM
This is truly fabulous.  I love the texture and the interplay of the patronus and dementor.  Very well done!

8  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Re: Assassins Creed? Hells Yeah! on: December 09, 2011 07:17:34 AM
Excellent work!  I love the Assassin's Creed series and the fact that you made a hoop is amazing.  And I totally agree with stitchzBstitchz- it's your swap partner's loss!  Keep on keepin' on!

10  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Christmas present time! on: December 09, 2011 07:07:31 AM
This year for my boyfriend's parents I crocheted them a blanket.  Normally I don't tackle crocheted blankets because I like instant gratification projects when I crochet, like hats and scarves.  The pattern I used for the blanket I found in an issue of Crochet Today.  I chose it because it's made of circles... 172 to be exact.  Each circle took me about 8 minutes to make so while the complete project took me over a month, each circle was very instantly gratifying.  Overall I'm very pleased with how it looks.  It is approximately 64 inches at its longest and 54 inches at its widest and fits the top of my full size bed.

I'm very pleased!  C&C appreciated!  Thanks for looking!
