11  Sweet little wreath in Winter Holidays by eukarya on: December 04, 2011 07:21:41 PM
I thought I'd share my latest fun creation.  I've never decorated a wreath before and gave it a shot at a party this weekend.  My ribbon came out a little wonky so I may have to fix it.  More likely, I'll just be lazy and pretend it looks perfect. Wink

I didn't have any time to go pick decorations out at the craft store, so I improvised with a pack of candy canes, some ribbon I had tucked away and some pine cones from my backyard. Smiley

Thanks for looking! Smiley

12  Ha! Another Weasley! I know just what to do with you! in Halloween Costumes by eukarya on: November 01, 2011 07:30:46 PM

Molly Weasley would be proud of these home-made robes (Simplicity 5512) and hand-knitted scarf.  In Hogwarts Black lined with Gryffindor Red, the robes sport a Gryffindor patch and are held closed by a pair of golden buttons with stars and moons on them.

I knitted the scarf myself since I don't have any magical knitting needles that knit for me.  I'm very proud of it since I suck at knitting.  I didn't drop a single stitch!

The wand was handcrafted by my lovely nieces who promised him that he could use it to banish scary closet monsters (and it worked too!  No more monsters in our closets!)

Our little Weasley loved his costume and stayed toasty warm while enjoying his first real trick or treating experience.  Check out that grin!

Not pictured is his squeaky toy rat minus right finger/toe.  True to form, Scabbers stayed home and slept.

The red hair is all his...lucky little munchkin!

13  Re: Boycott the craft store Destash Swap Gallery! in ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED by eukarya on: August 11, 2011 06:34:37 PM
I received some serious spoilage from Crafty Gurll!

The whole lot!

There's an awesome pair of train panels, four different packs of embroidery patterns, loads of floss, some pretty colored onesies, transfer paper, and some wood paintables including a Christmas tree and a photo frame!

Here's a close up of the awesome train panel.  There are two of them here so I can make a quilt/playmat for each of my two boys! Smiley  I love the style and color of these panels, they are beyond wonderful!

Thank you so much Crafty Gurll!

16  I wanna ROBOT! in Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects by eukarya on: July 10, 2011 10:48:49 AM
So, I've been promising my kid a robot t-shirt for a while now and today he just did NOT want to put on a plain white t-shirt (can't say I blame him).

So what's a mom to do?  I grabbed a handful of sharpies and drew!

Happy Boy in Shirt:

This robot took about 5 minutes from start to finish and it really made my son's day.  He finally got the robot he so desperately wanted and he liked watching me draw it right in front of him.  DH was so impressed he wanted to take the shirt off so our kid could wear it to school tomorrow! Smiley

I hope that you like it!  It was fun to make!

I received this lovely Math ATC from jillybeans yesterday!

I love the way the red is done in a gradient as she numbers pi off to 281 decimal places! Smiley

It's an awesome card!  Thanks, Jillybeans! Smiley
