11  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Two More Yetis (Picture Heavy) on: November 17, 2008 12:30:44 PM
These are the two new Yetis I have made this past month.  They both have skull faces.  I don't know why I call these Yetis... they are more like little monsters.  Either way- I love 'em!

My Initials:

Thanks for looking!   Grin
12  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Red Devil Diva Cup Bag on: November 17, 2008 12:26:35 PM
So I lost the bag that I carry my Diva Cup in (if you don't know what it is you should seriously look it up because they are the best things ever!!)

So... I made another one out of old PJ pants I had from Old Navy.  I feel the fabric makes sense...

Thanks for looking! Smiley
13  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Yetiiiii on: October 01, 2008 08:48:57 AM
After seeing medli's yeti (https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=260406.0) I decided to try to make my own.  I bought some discounted leopard print fabric from wal*mart and after about 7 hours of hand sewing and making a few mistakes:

Isn't he cute?!

I made him for a friend's baby (he was a great baby shower gift), so I stitched my initials (LC) on his foot so no one can say they made him  Tongue

The parts of him that are not leopardy are made out of regular old felt I had laying around.  Overall I am really happy with how he came out.  Not bad for one of my first stuffed animals!
14  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Salvador Dali Dog Tag Necklaces on: August 10, 2008 04:58:06 PM
A few months ago, at work, I found some Dog Tags that advertised one of our products.  Well I took some of them home considering they were doing nothing but sitting... and at my home they continued to sit until now!  I went through some magazines and cut out some pretty paper for the backs, I am still figuring out what to do because they look pretty plain.  I have a bunch of prints of Salvador Dali paintings, which is where the ladies are from.  I cannot find nor remember the name of the painting for the life of me, so if anyone knows please share!  Also I was thinking about adding some charms or something to it... but I am not so keen in the necklace making department so all criticism is welcome!

15  Archive of Past Craftster Challenge Entries / CHALLENGE 27 ENTRIES / Kitty Lamp on: May 01, 2008 02:35:24 PM
I have had this cute kitty cat shaped BOTTLE (EDIT: I accidentally said lamp earlier, but initially it was a wine bottle, THANKS Funkenstiens!!) laying around for years and when I heard of this I thought "Ooh this could be a neat lamp." Luckily I know a glass blower who was able to drill a whole in the back at the bottom of the kitty to thread the cord through!  Hope you like!
Light on:

I made the shade by the very tedious process of peeling apart Cat People Tarot Cards and Modge Podgeing them onto a shade I bought from WalMart:

Here are some close ups of the shade:

I consider it an early birthday present to myself (as my birthday is May 5!)  Thanks for looking!  Tongue
16  HOME SWEET HOME / Pet-Related Crafts: Completed Projects / Supreme Jelly Fish for my kitty on: April 14, 2008 07:24:12 PM
Mr Jelly Fish...

Meet Lobster.

So, I was pretty bored today considering that it is SNOWING IN APRIL, so I made a toy for my cat.  I took some wire and made a circle out of it, covered it with some felt and then sewed on some ribbon to the bottom.  Then I took a big circle of felt, stitched some button eyes on it, filled it with catnip, stuffing and pieces of a Doritos bag for that crinkly noise my kitty loves, and viola!

Lobster has a new best friend.  Tongue
17  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Flower Lighted Garland on: March 10, 2008 03:55:08 PM
I got the idea and a flower-stencil from a book a long time ago, I think maybe it was a Michael's Craft book.
I finally took the time and made it for my sister for Christmas.
Anyways, the flowers are hand stenciled then cut from velum paper from the craft store.  Since it is a 50 light string I cut 100 flowers so that I could overlap different sizes/shapes/colors.
It took me many hours, but the completed project is beautiful.  I wish I took better pictures before I gave them to her, but I finished them like two days before Christmas day.  Smiley

Here is a close up with them turned on, sorry the quality isn't too good, doesn't do it justice.
18  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / Elephant Bib! My first post on: March 10, 2008 03:46:50 PM
I love this site!  I am soooo addicted and today I have finally gotten the nerve to post.
So I was stalking around on the site and saw someone had made an elephant baby bib and I had to make it for my pregnant sister, er... for her baby who hasn't been born yet.  I can't find the post on here but someone else already posted one like this they made and with a link: http://crochetcafepatterns.blogspot.com/2005/04/elephant-pacifier-bib.html
Now I thought to myself "Babies are messy, so I should use something washable... and I don't know how to crochet."  So, using the fabric of some old T-shirts I had:

I love it, she loves it, thus I am happy.  Smiley
