1  Buddha And Lamb Tattoo in More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works by Iamacarnivore on: July 14, 2011 09:37:53 PM
Hello All!

Just wanted to post my latest drawing. It is inspired by a lyric in Old Crow Medicine Show song called I Hear Them All. The lyric is "....Hear the gentle Lamb of Judah, Sleeping at the feet of Buddha...". The line has always stuck with me and for a long time I have wanted it as a tattoo. I finally finished a pencil drawing that I have had in my mind of it. I combined a few faces that I like and I am really happy with the result! Let me know what you think!

Also if you feel so inclined I have entered it in a contest to get it tattooed for free at a tattoo expo that is coming to my area. You can go here  http://www.facebook.com/InkFestLiveTour  'Like' their page and then 'Like' my picture. Help a fellow craftster out! If I win I will totally post photos of it tattooed!

2  Boat Curtains in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General by Iamacarnivore on: October 21, 2009 09:19:55 AM
A man that I work with got to talking one day and he was saying how he was having a really hard time finding someone to make some new curtains, pillows, and slip covers for his boat that he is redoing. I told him that I sewed and I would love to do it! I have sewn purses, laptop cases, dresses, and other odds and ends, but never specifically curtains, but I am SUPER pleased at how these came out. I just used an old one as a guide and TADA! One down and 8+ to go. This is my first paid sewing job and I would really love to do more of it, but we shall see!!

3  Kanzashi Flower Purse in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by Iamacarnivore on: August 12, 2009 04:28:59 PM
I really love how this turned out! I really like the fabric combo and LOOOOOVE the flower on the front! It also has snaps at the top of the sides to widen it if needed. Tell me what you think!

4  Awesome material! in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by Iamacarnivore on: April 14, 2009 02:46:25 PM
I have a wedding to go to this Saturday and I really wanted to make a dress for it. I can never find a dress that fits well. My proportions are unusual apparently because everything that fits in the waist is too small in the hips and what fits in the hips it too large in the waist!

I had this image of what I wanted... so I made it!! I used a basic pencil skirt pattern for the bottom and adjusted it to go higher. I got the idea for the top from Rascal Kosher - https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=280776.0 and https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=280751.0 .
I did it over a period of 3 weeks, but it didn't take me that long. I just wanted to take it slow and do a good job. So when I began to get tired or frustrated with it, I would put it down.
Special thanks to shesxautomatic for help on how to do darts!
This is only the second garment I have made and the first was with a pattern so this was a first! I think it turned out great! I will try to post pictures of me in it on Saturday all dolled up and not so grody.
Let me know what you think and what may need improvement! Click on the to make them larger.

Parrot not included in the design...
Oh, and there is an eye hook to close the very top I just forgot to do so.
