31  Re: Loads of stenciled shirts for my boys***now with tutorial** in Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects by AndreaDeniell on: April 19, 2008 06:50:25 PM
I saw your post and was so inspired I HAD to make my own!!
unfortunantly my printer is without ink so printing out the more complicated this i had wanted to do wasn't feasible so for now i've done these.

Yeah, i did this one today.... and while it was drying my ds got into my room and added some painting of his own... Cry

I've also done a t-shirt with stars on it, and a whale t-shirt but havn't gotten pictures and the designs are on old ratty t-shirts. so i need to go get some nice T's to put all these great designs on!!
Thanks for the inspiration!!

32  Toddler Crayons in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by AndreaDeniell on: April 02, 2008 06:35:17 AM
After seeing quite a few different posts about making crayons I decided it would be a great gift for my Nephew who is 1 1/2 years. I made sure they were thick enough that they wouldn't break easily (choking hazard) and as long as he doesn't think their food it should be a blast for him to play with!!
As a side note I made these in a silicone muffin pan(that I don't plan to use for muffins anymore) and it worked GREAT! once they cooled it was a breeze to pop them out of the pan!!

Thanks everyone for your inspiration!

33  Hawaiian shirt turned Skirt!!! in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by AndreaDeniell on: March 28, 2008 08:46:12 AM
My Moms 50th birthday is tomorrow and yesterday I STILL had no clue what to get her!! My brother got her a Laptop... HA! no way was I going to try and out spend him. So since I've been lurking around the reconstruction board Ohh-ing and Ahh-ing all of your beautiful creations I decided to try and create something lovely for my mom for her trip to the sunny Florida coast. My parents go almost every year(now that us kids are grown and out of the way, HA! SOOO not fair... but thats neither here not their) And what is a trip to the beach without a Hawaiian print Shirt??? Their cut isn't so flattering for us ladies to I took this Mens size XL shirt that I got for $2.50 and the thrift store yesterday and made it into this!!!
Well this "Before" shot isn't much of a Before since I forgot to take it Before I started... oh well.

however you can see what and approximatly where I cut off.

And heres the after... it still buttons, though not all the way because of the hem at the top.

Overall it was quickly made, and even more quickly thought up so I'm really pleased at how well it turned out. I almost hate to give it away, but i'll deffinantly be on the look out for another hawaiian shirt to make another for myself!!
Thanks for looking!! and comments welcome!

34  Preemie & Toddler hats in Knitting: Completed Projects by AndreaDeniell on: March 18, 2008 01:26:08 PM
I really enjoy knitting these little hats. I wanted to make something knitting with a set of needles b/c my Grandma is a pro at it (esp making the fingerless gloves) But as I have kind of a short attention span it had to be a quick project that I could finish in a day or i'd set down the half done whatever it is and not work on it again for months Roll Eyes. So I've been making these. The pink one i made yesterday, and it's the first larger one i've done, it'll fit my 2 year old (though my 2 year old is a boy so it looks funny) and the little one is a preemie size. I didn't use a pattern so it's all guessed at. questions or critiques are welcome. Thanks for looking  Grin

And this one is a Preemie size

35  Yarn Bee- Labyrinth in Knitting: Discussion and Questions by AndreaDeniell on: March 11, 2008 06:27:15 AM
Hey, Has anyone on here successfully knitted (or crocheted) anything with this yarn?
It's driving me LOONY! I've tried twice and can't even discern the loops, stitches, any of that to do more than one row. Why do they even make yarn like this??? WHY!!!!!!

okay, enough of my rant... seriously if any of you hae made anything with this yard i'd love to see it!!! I'm baffled as to how to use it...

This is what the stuff looks like, i didnt realize it had the little poufs-of-insanity when I bought it... sigh

38  Peep and the big wide world in Amigurumi: Completed Projects by AndreaDeniell on: February 25, 2008 07:04:05 AM
I have three young children, so I've seen more than my fair share of cartoons. And Peep and the big wide world is one of my favorites!(http://www.peepandthebigwideworld.com/)
So I made my own Peep.

I'm not really happy with the legs, I may try and re-do them. but overall i'm pleased with how it turned out.
thanks for looking!
