1  Re: The Candy/Sweets Swap Gallery! in The Swap Gallery by CeruleanEyes on: September 27, 2008 01:06:46 PM
I got my package from my partner Lellibo a couple of days ago and I apologize profusely for being so slow in uploading the pics.
Here is what I got the other day:

First off, my partner is in the UK and I got a box of British goodies.  My kids and I spent quite some time going through and trying all of them.  It was so much fun!!  I was amazed at how different the candy is in the UK compared to what I'm used to.

And here is what she made for me (keeping the candy company! Cheesy):

To the right is Bertie.  He's the mascot for the Allsorts candy.  How brilliant is that?  Smiley  His arms and legs are attached with snaps.:

Keeping him company is Chocky Monster.  He's a naughty little boy who ate all of the yummy toffee candies.  He wrote me a note, explaining the empty box:

I couldn't be too upset with him, he's too darn cute!

Bertie is holding onto my new polymer jewelry.  Lellibo made a pendent and earring set for me and another cool candy pendent.

A close-up of them:

Thank you so much Lellibo! You did a great job, this has been a wonderful swap.  Cheesy  I had a blast getting to know you!  Hopefully the package I sent you gets to you soon!

I got my package from Chloecat on Saturday.  But it's been such a hectic few days around here with my family in town.  I haven't had a chance to take and upload pics.  I am terribly sorry!!

Ok, on to the pics!

Here are the crafted items:

She sent a painted frame, a small painted trinket box, some clay charms and 2 zipper pouches w/ a matching wallet for one of them:

And she sent me some lovely store-bought stuff:

I got a book of stickers too and I took a picture of it but can't find it.  Huh not sure what happened there.  LOL

There is a cute flip-flop charm that I forgot to get a pic of, I put it on my key chain.  LOL  Cheesy

She sent me some CHERRY fabric! I love cherries!!!  Cheesy

And she sent me some Australia stuff.  A tote, a key chain, and a hand towel.

Thanks so much!!  Cheesy  Great swap!  I may go start another one soon.  LOL

I got my pincushions from craftie_luvr!  Cheesy

They are so colorful!  I love colorful!!  LOL  Cheesy

Other side:

And here is a nice big one.  I told her I tend to lose things in the mess in my craft room.  So she made me one that is 'un-losable'.  LOL  Perfect!!  Cheesy  I told her I love flowers too and she made these sweet flowers for the top.

Closer (slightly blurry) pic of the flowers.

These are so soft and so pretty!   Smiley

Thanks so much craftie_luvr!!

4  Re: Favorite Colour Swap R2 GALLERY! in The Swap Gallery by CeruleanEyes on: July 03, 2008 08:48:04 PM
*Squeeeeaaaallll*  Grin  I got my awesome swap package today!!  I am so happy with what littlemisspoof sent me.  Thrilled!

My color combo is blue and brown.

So, here goes:

First, she thought of my kids!  All 4 of them!  I was so happy and so touched that she made things for them too.

She made a package of magnets for each of them.  And they are in my favorite colors!  How awesome is that!!?  My oldest, Maxwell, got a 'space' themed magnet set:

I must apologize for the nasty hair.  The pad I put them on came from my mom who has a cat and dog and they shed like no one's business.  I'm sorry!!!  It looks awful.

Next is Madeline's set of magnets.  She got a set of butterflies:

Samantha's set is heart-themed:

And Elaina's set is flowers.  Cheesy  So pretty!

One of Elaina's set is missing from the picture.  She took off with it before I could get a shot.  It's a tulip.  Smiley

Next, littlemisspoof made me a scarf and hat set.  She is new to knitting and did a fab job on these!

And my favorite thing out of the stuff she sent is a jewelry set.  I LOVE these.  Seriously love them.  They are beautifully done and are so ME.  I would buy these!!  She did an amazing job with this jewelry!!

The necklace:

It's long and I couldn't get a half-way decent shot w/ it out at full length....

The bracelet:

Aaand the earrings:

Crappy pictures!  They don't do the jewelry justice.  I love this jewelry so much.

Thank you so much littlemisspoof!  You rock!!!!  Awesome first swap girl.  I adore you!!  Cheesy

I got my awesome swap package today!!  I am beyond thrilled with everything llisaredd sent.

My themes are:

Polka Dots and/or Cherries

For the flower theme she made these awesome magnets:

This gives you and idea of their size.  They are pretty big!  Smiley

Aren't they adorable?  The fabric is perfect, it's sooo me!

Next is my polka dots or cherries theme.  She picked polka dots!!  Cheesy

The inside:

And the coolest little key chain- you can throw a debit card and your license in it and go, in case you are in a hurry.  Neat-o!

The fabric is beautiful and it is SO me.  I would have picked it out myself both color-wise and pattern-wise.  I love it!!

Next is my butterflies theme:

She made stationary!!!  And they have their own box to store them in!  Awesome!

The cards say 'Fluttering By'.

Next is the Princess/Ballerina theme.  She made these awesome ballerina hair pretties for my 4 year olds crazy hair.  They are beautiful!

And she decorated hair clips too.

Elaina modeling the hair elastics:

And my final theme was sunrise/sunset:

She made this awesome sun catcher.  It's so pretty!!  I want to know how she did it so I can make one too!!  Cheesy

I love everything very much.  She managed to make things that are perfect for me.  She's an awesome swap partner!!  Thank you so, so much llisaredd!  I adore it all.  {{{hugs}}}

This has been an awesome swap MaxParadise!!  Thanks so much for organizing it.  Cheesy

7  Pretty flower tote in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by CeruleanEyes on: July 02, 2008 01:04:04 PM
I made this for a swap partner.  She wanted a tote and I had to choose one of her chosen themes and I chose flowers.  I found the fabric in a box, not even knowing I owned it.  LOL  I used the blue trim to add a little something to it.  I am happy with how it came out.  What do you think???  Cheesy

That big pocket is also on the other side.

And this is the inside.....I threw in a couple of small pockets for holding odds and ends.

9  Bird t-shirt.... hand painted graphic in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by CeruleanEyes on: July 02, 2008 12:36:47 PM
I made this for a swap.  I found the graphic through a google search.  I was looking for bird silhouettes and came upon this one.  I fell IN LOVE with it.  I saved the picture and printed it up.  Then I bought transfer paper for fabric and used it to trace the pattern onto the tee.  Then I filled in the pattern with fabric paint- like a coloring book page.  Cheesy

Here is the graphic:

Here is the final outcome:

I sprinkled glitter over the whole graphic when I was done so it sparkles a bit.  I added the end of the tail of the bird and some falling leaves.  The falling leaves actually cover up a dripped bit of paint.  I'm messy.  LOL

What do you think??

10  Mosaic- Glass Tiled Box in Glass Crafts: Completed Projects by CeruleanEyes on: June 30, 2008 12:19:30 AM
I made this for a swap partner of mine back in May. The box opens on a hinge.  I was making this for a color-themed item and her color was blue.  I love how it turned out.  It's simple but I thought it was pretty.

What do you think??
