21  Spooning leads to.... in Needlework: Completed Projects by KasmiraGypsy on: July 22, 2008 04:19:01 PM

I found the image online kind of a myspace "sticker" type thing. And had to make one. I'm giving my sister this one for Christmas and making another one for myself with darker colors.

This is my second embroideries so I'm still learning lol. I used split stitch (for the first time) and another one i don't remember the name of.

Comments and Tips welcome!

22  Re: 50's B Movie Swap Gallery in The Swap Gallery by KasmiraGypsy on: July 16, 2008 09:11:37 PM
YAY my computer and camera decided to talk to each other once again and i can post pictures!

Here are the goodies that my swap partner cynlynn sent me.

The purse! I am using it right now and loving it. People keep stopping me wile im out and asking me if i made it lol.

and a close up of the picture

Some kick ass magnets! (that for some reasion craftster keeps flipping the pic on its side?)

A heart smell good that i wrestled away from Ivan for 5 min to take a pic.

And the book that i am now keeping my knitting/crochet pattern notes in. Note the cat Percie who's motto is "where ever there be open books or sewing bags so shall i be"

and last but not least......
a copy of Tank Girl! The coolness of which shall never be matched. (again its being squished and turned on its side. anyone know how to fix it?)

Thank you for being such a rockin swap partner to this sad newbe.

I had much fun.

23  Zomblie in Amigurumi: Completed Projects by KasmiraGypsy on: June 10, 2008 09:57:21 PM

This is Zomblie she is a crochet Zombie with a friend Lola the spider. She is my own creation. But really is a simple human shape i didn't even think to write it down as i went. I also croshet the dress and sewed it on her. I added the black top and straps as i noticed her dress was a bit to big and was falling off.
I'm going to make her a zombie boy next so she isnt all alone.

A close up of her face and stitching on her arm.

I'm super happy with her. What do you all think?

24  I'm Toast! First ever embroidery in Needlework: Completed Projects by KasmiraGypsy on: June 10, 2008 09:48:22 PM

This is my first ever in the whole wide world embroidery piece. As you can see it's a piece of toast ( i hope you can tell its toast anyways). The toast is saying.........

Oh My God

I'm a Piece of Toast!

Cuz you know toast is cool.

I saw a myspace sticker kind of  like this and though it was really funny.

I'm pretty sure I'm not doing the chain stitch right but I'm not sure. As i decided to do it when i was away from home camping i had no internets and had to go by what everyones pictures looked like. But everyones looked much better.

All in all i think it was ok for a first try.

Thoughts, hints?

25  Hop ~ Fused trash bag doll ~ in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by KasmiraGypsy on: May 26, 2008 08:02:40 AM
So i had a few more trash bags that i fused together and came up with little HOP. I wanted something to put on her front to break up all the black. And there was a shopping bag. SO i cut out the letters after fusing it and sewed it on. This was my first trash bag doll. I think i will change it a bit and try again when i get some more bags.

26  "Leather" skirt in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by KasmiraGypsy on: May 24, 2008 05:26:18 PM
So my daughter The Spawn wanted a leather skirt for her Mrs.Hipsiedicks. (Mrs.Hipsiedicks is the president and makes an appearance at our house about 3 or 4 times a month) So i had seen this https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=247623.0 bag and though why not try it out for a skirt. It was SUPER crazy easy. And she loves it. Now she has a "leather pencil skirt" and if it gets trashed (bad pun) i can just make her a new one. It is recycled as i used the bag to take stuff from her bed room to the basement for garage sale. I want to add some bright sticthing to it around the edges and stuff.
The Front

The back (with slit)

Never mind the stains on her shirt she had just got done eating pizza.
I think i will be making one for myself next.
What do you think?

27  Slouchy Tam (first post) in Crochet: Completed Projects by KasmiraGypsy on: March 20, 2008 12:02:09 AM
Hello and hi hi!

This would be my first post to Crafster. I have been lurking and gathering (hording) ideas to put on my ever growing to do list.

I saw the Pretty Puff Slouchy Hat https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=195823.0 and mixed it into a Tam idea. And this is what i got. I tried a tapestry crochet for the puffs (for the first time) and it came out ok. Its very Slouchy and keeps my head warm. And covers my bad hair days like a dream.

Back of Slouchy Tam (it matches my pink and black hair)

Pretty Puff close up

The edge

As my first post i cant put up the direct pics. But if you have the time to check them out and let me know if its not to hideous to wear outside i would be ever so grateful. lol
