1  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Circle skirt- What do you think? on: June 25, 2011 05:12:15 PM
I'm converting a wrap skirt pattern into a circle skirt with an elastic waistband and I'm wondering if I should make a waistband for the casing or can I just fold over the top to make the casing?  I've already cut the skirt and sewed the side seam when I realized the measurements used for a wrap skirt have a wider waistband than normal (for overlap).  But since I'm using elastic, it should still work, with maybe a little more fabric gathered than usual, right?

Any thoughts would be great!

I love it!!  I would totally wear that out somewhere-anywhere!  I love that you used basic materials for it which keeps it kinda casual and makes it very versatile- you can dress it up or down!  Nice job!

I actually thought it was a floral design at first!  The colors work nicely together and look great with the pattern you used.  I love tie dye!  Nice work!

Wow!  AWESOME!  When we moved into our house, the bathroom was Barbie Pink.  Now, three years later, it's the color of plaster and subfloor, but we're making progress!  Your post really gave me some more inspiration!
