you could just use a bookshelf or something. that's what my brother does with his collection of tigers (a lot of which are stuffed), and it actually looks pretty nice. also, we had a toybox when we were kids that had shelves above the box part that my mom displayed our cool-looking or sentimentally valuable toys on.

i saw an article in a magazine a while ago (i can't remember which magazine, sorry) that suggested using kitchen towels to make cafe curtains (the short kind that only cover the bottom half of a window). if you used curtain clips, you wouldn't have to put holes in them or anything.

My boyfriend has decided that he really wants us to cosplay Alice and Randel from Pumpkin Scissors for Anime NebrasKon in November. I think it would be really cool, but I'm not sure how to go about making the uniforms. Randel's uniform looks like this: http://animac-cosplay.com/images/cos/COS-0297.jpg. Alice's is pretty much the same, except it's orange-ish (http://animac-cosplay.com/images/cos/COS-0298.jpg). Do you think it would work if I found a pattern for a trench coat or something and modified it? I've never actually sewed something using a pattern before, so I'm not sure if trying to modify one is a good idea, but I'm willing to give it a shot Smiley

holy crap, that is an awesome idea! on the envelopes, you might want to put the date and maybe your names, as a nice little keepsake (also, if your friends/family have the date on something, it'll be easier to remember your anniversary Wink )

may i ask where you managed to rent a photobooth?
