11  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / My first messenger bag - done using a couple of Tute's from here - img hvy on: March 06, 2008 07:30:57 PM
WOOO HOOO and woot woot I'm so proud of myself and the Messenger bag I just completed....took me less than a day, which considering I was too stingy (didn't want to waste that much ink or paper!) to print off the tutorials, and had to stop and start all the time to come into the puter and read the next step!

It's for a young lady I know, who's mad on cows...and a lovely crafster advised me where to get the moo moo material.

Any how, I keep walking past the completed bag, pointing to it, with big cheesy grin firmly in place, and tell anyone near me "I made that!"

Let me know what you think of it.

Sorry about my fat body being in the last shot, maybe I should've put a warning before it!  I just wanted to show roughly where it sits when worn across the shoulder, which is where I know Mooey (real name Mandy but nicknamed Mandy Moo a lot of years ago!) will be wearing her bag.

Hope at least one of you thinks this is ok for my 1st attempt at a few different things, such as zippered divider...adjustable strap and whilst I've been making Jordy style bags for a while, this was the first one with so many layers of fabric etc in the corners!  I must just say, the corners were a challenge in their own rights and I almost gave up, but persistance won out in the end, and I got there.

12  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / My weak attempt at a Sanibel Knock off - img proud! on: March 06, 2008 07:13:54 PM
Hi Crafsters,

Here's my 2nd attempt at a Sanibel knock off....it's for my mum, as she won't mind the flaws!  I've made 3 altogether, one is too big, and the other I still need to find the 'right' button for, but this one I completed yesterday....as I mentioned in someone else's post about my side pockets....yes, I did put them in on this one the wrong way round, I've since rectified the problem between the pattern and my construction, but have left this one with the slightly longer side pockets!

Let me know what you think.

Hope the pics show up ok.

13  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / 3 Hello Kitty bags I've just made - Img heavy on: February 19, 2008 01:19:52 PM
Hi everyone, this is my first post of pics of something I've made.  Let me know what you think of them.  I've made them for someone else.....I'm hoping she'll buy all 3! lol

As you can see, the only real difference between the 2 paler ones, is the ric rac colour, oh and not that you can tell from these pics, but one has pink & white stripey seersucker lining, and the other has a plain pale lilac coloured lining.

I hope you all like them.  I'll take any comments/criticism.....so fire away!
