3  CLOTHING / Costumes: Completed Projects / Eternal Sailor Saturn and Sailor Mars on: July 16, 2009 01:47:43 PM
Hey I noticed on Crafster recently we got loads of great Sailor Moon costumes on show, so I would like to introduce you guys to my costume for Eternal Sailor Saturn for London Expo October, I have completed most of the costume just a few little things here and there that need to be complete...

The full costume with boots that were black but now white thanks to some spray paint ^^
Not pictured is the tiara which I brought, the choker around the neck, and brooch

My weapon was made by my friend as I am not very good making things out of wood

Closer picture of the gloves these were brought and then I hand sewn the purple rings on to the tops of the gloves.

The main costume was made from dutchesse satin and matt lycra.. I did struggle with some of the construction as I've never worked with lycra before...

Sailor mars was constructed in the same way, with added features including the hip roll and the armoured top part...

The main costume with bows, and brooch attached this was made for my sister and so she needs to gather shoes wig and tiara to complete this outfit...

A better view of the front, my friend is also making the fire bow to go with this outfit

Any comments and critque welcomed and I love all the other costumes being made Smiley

4  CLOTHING / Costumes: Completed Projects / Re: Hatsune Miku From Vocaloids 02 on: May 22, 2009 07:14:38 AM
Hey, Hopefully I'll see you there. Providing my leg gets better (I hurt it last night).
I love your costume. How did you make the arm warmers/ sleeves? It looks really good. I wanted to Cosplay this year but it coincided with my GCSE's, so I couldn't make anything. Sad

Also, kinda random, but where did you get the wig? It's awesome. Cheesy

Hey there the wig was brought from cosplaywigs on ebay and its the 2 clip on pontails and base wig... very comfortable ^^
The arms are made from pleather, I measured my top arms and then measured how long and how big I wanted the sleeves, sewned the graphics on that were made on the computer, sewn the binding then sewn the main seam wrong way round and then pulled it out the right way Smiley

hope this helps

7  CLOTHING / Costumes: Completed Projects / Yachiru Kusajishi From Bleach on: May 18, 2009 05:55:01 AM
Hey there, I have been a busy bee lately and making costumes for the next couple of London MCM expos... This bleach character is for the October MCM expo, and to partner with my friend's cosplay.

The undershirt of the costume, this is a white cotton and was quite easy to construct as it was one main pattern then the edging.

The overshirt of the costume with the white cotton belt that holds everything together, same construction bit tricker with the slits at the armholes.

The full costume with the trousers, These are my first pair of trousers I have constructed, and they were tricky to do, as the pleats gave me some grief and they didnt want to ironed into the fabric. They came out alright in the end and I'm happy with the result..

Comments and critique is always welcomed, thankyou for looking
