21  Doll bed in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by madmommymia on: January 07, 2009 12:44:30 PM

Here is a doll bed I made for my niece.  I took an unfinished wood tray and wood glued wooden balls to the bottom.  I then painted the bed and sewed up some bedding for it.  She loved it and her new ragdoll now lives there.

22  Re: Make Love Not War Swap in The Swap Gallery by madmommymia on: January 06, 2009 04:11:03 PM
Finally I am posting, the holidays have been busy, I am excited to be home now and in my own space!
Here are my goodies:

soap from a fair trade organization, everything in the box smelled wonderful

a tote bag with an airplane dropping hearts (instead of bombs).  I love this a lot

a crocheted bib for my 4.5 month old son with a peace dove in the center.  It is so neat, and will be used for all our babies, whenever we have more.  I can't imagine how long this must have taken.

a peace onesie, and with as fast as my son is growing, it is a good thing it is a bigger size!

Earrings from a fairtrade organization which are so cute

And there was also a peace dove collage art in a frame, but unfortunately it got packed away with the Christmas decorations before I got a good picture.  Sorry... I really was excited about it though, it goes great with a couple of our other mantle peace pieces, including our stocking holders that spell out peace!

Thanks so much ThatsWhatSheSaid, everything was wonderful, I felt so spoiled.

23  Re: Secret Santas revealed! 2008 Secret Santa Swap gallery in The Swap Gallery by madmommymia on: January 06, 2009 04:03:18 PM
Here are the Secret Santa presents I received...

My all time favorites, a crocheted cupcake pincushion and hairclips from my wist made by MandyLikesPie.  I know because the address looked familiar, I had sent her something too!

Felt food for my son and I to play with; I love them tons!

And some great embroidery floss and ribbons, some extra goodies, all stored in a plastic bin that is currently holding all my embroidery supplies now!

Thank you to all my Secret Santas, I had a great time.

Here it is, I finally got new batteries in the camera.  Carrieme made her with the specifications that I wanted a Christmas baking doll and here she is!  Isn't she adorable?
