1  Re: Mini 12 Days of Christmas - Gallery in The Swap Gallery by madmommymia on: December 02, 2014 12:13:10 PM
We have a baby!!!! Our daughter Esther was born over the weekend and we are home and doing well.  I will post the last of our pictures later today and want to tell rantyhippie a big thank you for giving me a distraction at the end of pregnancy.
Here she is:

Day one: a hooped nativity and angel ornament. Rantyhippie, I love how you closed the hoop up, I never really figured out how to close up my hoops in a way I like so you might have to do that to one of your gifts.....

Day two: a tiara for baby girl and some baby socks.  Might have to put a picture of her in it when she makes her arrival!

Day three: deep purple super soft small blanket for little one to cuddle with and an elmo hat

Day four: it was a good day to break down and let my boys open this one, since it was for them: a portable tic tac toe board and a Christmas card garland which I might change to hold her name at the hospital (I am bringing decorations so I still feel Christmasy)

Day five: Difficult to see since he kept trying to jumprope but they are green, white and red bunting flags which my boys intend to use for jousting matches instead of wall decor.  I thought it was pretty creative so let it slide.
Day six: burp cloths

Day seven: tree skirt and owl ornament

Day eight: bread warmer carrier

Day nine: baby hat and pocket organizer.  The hat is still a bit too big for her, but as much as she is eating, I am sure that will be in use soon!

Day ten: hoop art which I will be putting up in our kitchen:
Day eleven:  my favorite a snuggly sleepsack for baby girl.  If this winter is as cold as last year, this will come in handy!

Day twelve: some felt ornaments that the boys have claimed for their tree.

Thanks again for the crafting distraction, I had a great time crafting for you rantyhippie!

2  Re: Secret Santa 2013 Swap Gallery--Opening Weekend this weekend! in The Swap Gallery by madmommymia on: December 16, 2013 06:53:15 PM
Sorry it took me so long to post: Here it is unopened

and then opened, a super exciting Doctor Who canvas with chocolate to make the viewing even better!

Thank you so much for the great stalking and the artwork, I already put it up in our homeschool room and everything. Unfortunately my kids moved where my card was to say who my secret santa was, I have searched high and low and can't figure it out, so if any one wants to take credit, that would be great so I can say thank you!  I really loved it.

I know it has taken me forever to post pics, but quaggy did an amazing job!  (My camera photo conversions to a smaller size took longer than I would have liked).  Here's the haul unopened:

Then came the presents! Reindeer ornaments, one for each member of the family
a mug rug with mug and candle rug with candle and two snowmen made from wooden posts:
Also included were loads of candy and hot chocolate, a necklace, a pin, a game set, washi tape, which I love love love, pencil sharpeners and paper clips for my boys, along with some plastic rings they like to play treasure with, shower gel and my all time favorite part: Harry Potter wooden doll figurines for playing chess or anything else! I love them and can't wait to have some time to play with them with my boys (who also adore them and love asking who characters are (they are too young to have read them but know I talk about them often).

And here is the whole haul all together with stocking!
Thanks for spoiling me quaggy, everything was very appreciated and really made my spirit much brighter on a very terrible week.

Sorry I am so late on posting, our house was unexpectedly turned around computer wise while redoing the office. Long story short, I am glad to have a predictable computer working again.
Here is my most amazing package from bsonlytoots!

First off slippers for my boys: here is an action shot of my oldest, along with baby booties for my youngest:

Then there was an embroidery organizer for all my needlework stuff-so excited!

Next comes these awesome kanzashi flowers which I plan to hotglue on to barrettes

And a notepad holder with some notecards in it, although I have already added quite a few of my notecards that I had spread everywhere and was so excited to get them a home!

Thanks so much for everything, I had a great time opening everything and was so very excited.  It has been a rough few weeks for my family for lots of reasons and I really really really needed some happy moments. You rock bsonlytoots!

5  Re: Amelie Swap Gallery - Send Out by 03/18/2011 in The Swap Gallery by madmommymia on: March 30, 2011 04:14:23 PM
I finally got a chance to post, my toddler has a bad cold and has been clingy and my baby is teething.  Needless to say, I am tired.
So it was a nice welcome me break to open my package:
A scarf with colors that I love that says in french, "It is better to help people than garden gnomes"

A gnome keychain which I am sure my toddler will take from me, he likes mommy's stuff the best:

And my fav, a shirt which looks perfect with a black cardigan, a red headband and my red shoes and some jeans.  I didn't photograph me in it because "my girls" would distort the text a bit.  It reads in french, "I am nobody's little weasel"

Thanks FakePalindromes, I loved having such a bright spot in my week!

Finally my hubby has installed my photo stuff back on the computer, so here is the super fun package I got from hgdmm.
First up, a Dumbledore quote calendar.  She even put birthdays and other important Hogwarts dates on it.  It has a leatherish cover to it with a D on the front. Anyway, it is a bit funny to me she did that, since my calendar I made for myself this year has lots of Dumbledore quotes on it as well!

Next, I got 2 pygmy puffs, one for Isaac which he likes to play with and one for little baby when he/she arrives in October!

Next came a bag from Fred and George's shop, big enough to hold Mommy's stash of stuff in, a magical feat in itself.  You can also see our pug, Simon admiring it in the picture as well!

Finally, a clay crafted bug, who is more than meets the eye.  If you look closely, you realize it is Rita Skeeter in her glass jar, so we can keep an eye on her.  Isaac loved her, wanted to take her out, which doesn't work so he had to settle for petting her instead. I warned him that since she lives in his room, she can report back and tell me everything he does....

Thanks so much hgdmm for such a fun swap!

7  Re: Vintage Swap: Movie Edition GALLERY! in The Swap Gallery by madmommymia on: June 18, 2010 11:12:14 AM
All right finally had enough time to sit down and upload and the like.  Here is my package from agulauna.

There was a hat inspired by one the character, Saunders wore in "Mr Smith goes to Washington" as well as an Abraham Lincoln pin, also inspired by that movie and the fact that I love Lincoln.  Also, she made me a black and white bag inspired by "My Fair Lady"-can you get any better than Audrey Hepburn in all those amazing costumes, I think not.
Anyway, my son loved everything and hijacked the bag and hat for his dress up chest.  HE LOVES HATS AND BAGS. He must have at least a hat on before he goes anywhere, as you can see by his break for the door.

The Abraham Lincoln pin will most likely find a home on my purse.
And just for the proud mama in my, here is a lovely headshot of Isaac loving his hat...

Thanks so much for a great package and a fun swap to craft for!

8  Re: Office Swap Round 4: The Gallery is Here! in The Swap Gallery by madmommymia on: March 11, 2010 09:02:39 AM
Sorry it is taking so long for pictures, my camera is having issues loading things.  Anyway, I hijacked pics from barbalot's amazing blog, which I have been following since I found it.  Anyway, here are some pics from there, and I will post more whenever I can resolve this stupid camera thing.  I think my hubby might be able to figure it out.
First up, a jello stapler pincushion that came with a tag that said Michael, Jim did it again!

Secondly, an amazing bag which became my purse as soon as I got it out of my box.  It even has a pocket for a sippy cup!  It was also filled with some adorable office supplies.

Thirdly, an apron which is adorable and has a hidden warning in the pocket..."It's the perfect way to start the day"

I also got an amazing wrist cuff that says on one side, "shun" and the other side, "unshun".  My husband thinks it is fun to switch it when he deems appropriate.

I loved my package and wish I could have more pictures on everything on my own.  Barbalot, you were an amazing partner and I loved everything.  I also will be updating status soon.  Everything is coming along well!
