Thanks for the suggestions, I'm going to check into morning glory!  Smiley

PS- the day after I posted that asking for questions my mom brought home a small grape tomato plant that wasn't looking too healthy, so I planted in an old cottage cheese tub that I had cut a hole in the bottom of.  It's already grown several inches and is a rich green color! Smiley
It is curving up though... which I thought was rather strange, haha.

Oh man, I think it was wheatgrass.  Thank you so much! Smiley

Oh yeah!  Also, a few years back my sister had this small rectangular planter or grass in her room that was a beautiful dark green color.  I know for a fact that it wasn't catnip, which is what most people suggest when I ask them what it could have been.  The blades were pretty skinny and stood straight up without assistance.  Any ideas what type of grass (or maybe other plant entirely... ?) it could have been?  I already asked my sister but she has no idea what it was and I really want some!

I apologize in advance if any of these questions have been recently asked.  I would search through the recent topics, but the few I looked through went completely over my head.  I know almost nothing about gardening, so I wouldn't know what to look for in the topics.

I'm interested in getting some sort of vines for my mailbox.  At the moment there is one clematis (only of three to survive) that has one vine about a foot tall, and I don't like the look of it.  Any suggestions of a plant that would just take off and almost cover the entire mailbox?  My mailbox is this nasty-ugly plastic thing, I want it covered, ha.

I'm also really interested in getting an upside-down planter.  The tutorials I've found on how to make them haven't been extremely clear though (which may only be because I'm ignorant to gardening and don't understand the terminology).  Do rocks come between the plant roots and soil?  That whole bit about adding rocks to aid in draining as well as prevent loss of soil kind of lost me.  What sort of plants can be grown upside down; only tomatoes?  Do these plants have to be grown in soil for a period of time before turned upside down?  I understand they can't grow from seeds, but if the plant has a few inches of so can I put it in the planter and hang it, or... ?

Thanks in advance for any help you can give me!  Please be patient with me and explain things as if you were talking to a two year old. Tongue

You could make a clutch, similar to the cassette tape wallets?  I think that'd be cute, especially if you had a cassette wallet to match. :-P

Oh wow!  I love the fabric and the bodice turned out wonderfully.  I can't wait to see it finished.
