1  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Re: Help with making Bridesmaid Dresses on: April 30, 2011 07:25:59 PM
Am I understanding you are having a problem with making the roses? If so the fabric has a small thin piping(usually a clear plastic) on the edges to make it more sturdy for standing and forming of the flower. It makes it stand stiff. Hope this helps its a beautiful dress!
2  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Upholstery fabric! on: August 03, 2009 06:32:24 AM
Hello everyone, this is my second attempt at this craftsters website, (first time I was way to busy to complete or enjoy this community)... I have a ton of fabric in my shop....but I have alot of light upholstery fabric,,,,i need some ideas of what to do with it,,,,,some have a backing on it which makes my needles sticky when I sew,,,,so if you have any ideas of what to do with all this stuff let me know,,,,,I would like to use some of it or I am going to ship it out soon..maybe to your house lol....taking up to much room....thanks everyone!

8  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing Machines: Discussion and Questions / Re: Just Zigzag or Serger? on: March 24, 2008 06:51:32 AM
This is usually done by a serger. The serger usually does the stitch and cut off the excess fabric for a clean edge and then you are done. Some people swear by them but I am old school and find some things you still need to do on a regular sewing machine.  You could possibly do this on a normal one by adjusting length and tension! With some trials it should work.
