11  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: snakes in my eye sockets t-shirt to dress on: July 18, 2010 08:35:36 PM
OMG what a lucky find! The dress looks AWESOME! Wish I had one just like it to fit my maternity shape right now... great job!
12  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: All she wanted was a red wedding dress. Is that too much to ask? on: July 11, 2010 02:18:11 PM
I love the dress and think you did an amazing job on it! I do, however, live superstitiously to an extent and seeing this dress took me back to my wedding and I remembered there was a poem I read before really picking anything for my wedding out yet:

Married in White, you have chosen right,
Married in Blue, your love will always be true,
Married in Pearl, you will live in a whirl,
Married in Brown, you will live in town,
Married in Red, you will wish yourself dead,
Married in Yellow, ashamed of your fellow,
Married in Green, ashamed to be seen,
Married in Pink, your spirit will sink,
Married in Grey, you will go far away,
Married in Black, you will wish yourself back.

I certainly hope this doesn't fall true for her! My first wedding I was married in pink and boy did it sink! lol!
13  NEWS AND DISCUSSION ABOUT CRAFTSTER / Craftster Itself / Kauffman Tire Ad on: June 23, 2010 07:12:59 AM
I know I can't be the only one sick of the Kauffman Tire Ad. It is driving me bananas! I can't avoid it, I've tried! It wouldn't be so bad if it didn't drop down, but anytime I click on a project to view it my cursor automatically hovers over the refreshed window and drops the damn thing down. PLEASE!!! Put a new ad there, one that doesn't drop down!

16  HOME SWEET HOME / Exterior Decorating / Yard Art / Gardening: Discussion and Questions / Re: Cola as a cleaning product ? on: September 04, 2009 03:36:08 PM
I'm not sure about using cola in the toilet, but I do know that it's what cops use to get blood off of a road or driveway where someone has been killed or very seriously injured. You can also pour it on corroded car battery contacts to clean them off. I would think that it could very well work in the toilet, but that the toilet would need to be completely empty otherwise the coke wouldn't be able to fizz against your porcelain throne. I think the water in the bowl would totally screw that up.

The only other alternatives I can think of are bleach, but if you're like me and don't use bleach you can try something called a "pummie" that can be found in hardware stores. It's pumice stone on a stick for the most part. Good luck!
17  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / Re: Chocolate Invitations! Yum yum! on: September 04, 2009 02:58:56 PM
LOL @ #3 and #4! I've never shipped chocolate or any candy now that I think of it. Freezing and backing them makes perfect sense though! I would have never thought about that!

These are cool! I am wondering though, is it an invitation that you'll personally deliver to your friends? I don't see them holding up too well in the mail, what if they melt, break or get eaten by the mailman? Wink

Great job! I LOVE it!

Wow! I need to move somewhere where upcycling isn't so popular if you find sheets like that! I have the same Ghostbusters sheet I haven't done anything with and I made a tube top out of the animated batman sheet, but I am 100% jealous of the Star Wars sheet you got your hands on, you lucky duck!
