Haha! That is so cool!

When I left beauty school I ended up with a million of those damn heads and hated to throw them out - they aren't cheap! I ended up shaving all of them and spraypainting them gold and made a totem pole out of them. Another good purpose for them is to saw off the top of ones head - inside you will find foam - carve it out and you have yourself a new planter! LOL! Cheesy

I love it! I agree with DustyChica - ComicCon! Or if you're in the south you could always come to Atlanta and wear it to Dragon*Con this fall, too!

It turned out really well! What comic/comics did you destroy to make it? hehe

These are amazing! I Love the Social D dress, is it an upcycled tee?

I have a 3 month old daughter and a drawer full of awesome shirts that are now too small...

**this rocks**

Awesome room. I wish I had this much space for my darling little baby (due in Dec.), but alas its only a 7' x 10'. Yeah not much bigger than my closet.
I love the pink color what is the name of it and who make it? ( is is Sherwin Williams color?) I'd love to look into getting that version of pink.
I love love love the Owl. I have been looking for ideas to make the nursery more girlie and less blah. Thanks for the inspiration. Smiley

The paint color is Blooming Fuchsia and is made by Glidden. I fell in love with the color before I knew what I was having and held onto the paint swatch. The day I found out it was a girl I went and bought it! Wink I am due 5 weeks from today, lots of luck with your little one in December!

Thanks again everyone for the compliments! I am not much of a fan of a lot of the baby stuff that's out there. I don't like the generic teddy bear, baby duck, jungle themes, etc. They're just so... ugh!

That is so beautiful! I love that she will have a great potato head collection to get her started (if those are hers...) Smiley

I just have to point out that crib bumpers are no longer considered to be safe as they can restrict the air flow around babies and may be a contributing factor in SIDS.  As long as the crib is new enough the slats will be close enough together that you should be fine without the bumper.  (but aren't they so darn cute???)  Sorry to be a downer - I'm such an overprotective mom (is there any other sort?)

Enjoy dreaming about your new little one!

LOL Thanks. Wink I've already gone through the pros and cons and I'm not too worried as we will have a ceiling fan for air flow and:

Between 1985-2005 there have been 27 accidental deaths of children between the ages of 1 month and 2 years of age due to use of bumper pads in the United States. Formal investigations revealed that 11 infants likely suffocated when their face rested against the bumper pad, 13 infants died when they became wedged between the bumper pad and another object, and three infants died from strangulation by a bumper tie.

That's 1-2 deaths per year out of more than 4 million babies born per year(in the US). I think it sounds more like a freak accident than a real safety hazard. Choking to death, dying in a car accident, being hit by a car, and even getting attacked by a shark trumps the likelihood of something happening because of bumper pads.

I also plan on having the Angelcare monitor.

Thanks for all of the compliments! The shelves and drawers are built in, when we bought the house a little over a year ago I just *knew* that would be the future nursery. It's perfect storage for a baby/child!

I really wish I had taken before pics of the clutter of this room before it was transformed into a nursery, but without further adieu...

I made the valance, comforter and bed skirt. We painted, sanded down the drawer/shelving and repainted all of that, filled the room with baby stuff, and now we're just waiting for her to arrive! Cheesy
