1  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / I am so proud of these cuties!..*pic heavy* on: July 20, 2010 01:08:33 AM
I am totally in love with these but the last 3 are my favorites. They are all my original designs and cut out freehand, no patterns were used. I made these with the idea that I will put them on hair clips, with a felt backing of course to make them more stable and nicer looking.  I am not yet positive that I will, but most likely.

I did an edit to this because I totally forgot to mention the size.  They are about an inch and 3/4 wide.  Not tiny, but a good size for hair clips or magnets.
Thanks for looking!

2  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / Lovely vintage magnets, girls in swimsuits! on: July 13, 2010 12:50:14 AM
I found this paper today at my local craft store and fell for it right away.  Since it is split into sections my first thought was magnets.  So I bought a sheet of sticky backed magnet and went to town.  I am very please with the result.  The edges could have been better but for a first time effort I think they are ok.

I will probably varnish them so they can be wiped off and to help make them more durable, but I didn't want the glare to get in the way of the pics, so they are unfinished....and yes I need to improve my photography skills Grin.

All of the images are lovely but I picked out the 6 of women in swimsuits that also happen to all be the same size, so they make a perfect set.

3  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Sweet lil' zebra print needle book on: July 12, 2010 06:16:09 AM
Just a very simple little needle book I stitched up as part of gifts for a friends bday:

4  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Hard to believe it was ever blue! on: July 12, 2010 06:12:09 AM
I am super, duper happy with this recon job.  Someone recently gave me a wallet that I really liked except for the color.  So a few coats of acrylic paint later, tada!

The paint went onto the leather so well.  It seem pretty durable and so far no cracks.  I don't want to put a finish on it til I see how it wears, since I prefer it matte and don't care for any shine at all.

5  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Photo board, from drab to fab! on: July 02, 2010 03:44:31 AM
Well probably more like dingy that drab, but that doesn't rhyme!  This belonged to my daughter who was done with it and it was pretty gross!  So it was a pretty easy recon and I am very happy with the results.  I tried to get a pic of it in use but my camera died. Anyways....

Before, EWH!

And the end result.  The pink bling on it is much blingier in person (is that a word? Wink):
6  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / Robot love! on: July 02, 2010 03:08:49 AM
Just like the title says, I do love robots.  I have been wanting to make one for a while and I am sure this will not be my last one.  I just love him!  Hope you guys like him too!

Before he got all shined up:

And here he is all finished up, he is not perfect and I can see where I missed a spot.  So he will be getting a second coat:

7  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / Cutie Frutie! on: July 02, 2010 02:47:16 AM
This is a few years old now but I'm just now getting around to getting pics taken of it.  I did my best to clean it up and it's kinda dusty.  It is one of the first things I made with PC.  I don't have any actual tools, so the stuff I do is pretty basic.  Anyways, hope you like it!

8  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / My super cute birdie and a few other things on: June 30, 2010 06:19:00 PM
I hope it is ok that I post these here since I had already posted them in jewelry and trinkets.  It just occur ed to me that they might better belong here.  I am new to stitching and really like to just make what comes to mind.  I adore felt so that is what I used to make these little goodies.

I made the stuffed birdie into a pin for my daughter's girlfriend.  We both loved it!

This wallet, which we both happen to own inspired me:

Just for fun I make some Kawaii food:

This little heart is also stuffed, my own design and I love it!

9  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Cuff-o-licious! on: June 28, 2010 03:34:35 PM
I think so anyways!  I wish I had more pics of this but my camera is not playing nice today.  You pretty much get the idea though.  It's a super simple cuff that I glittered in ombre style.  It's a full piece of Shrink Dink with 3-4 layers of glitter and a spray for shine.  This was an experiment but I like the results.  You see the back is black stretch cord for easy access and comfort. It's not shiny at all but the spray worked out PERFECT to seal the glitter and made it much more durable.

10  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Bloomin' flower necklace! on: June 28, 2010 03:24:32 PM
As I said in my earlier post, I got carried away making these flowers.  I thought that would look great made into a necklace and this is what I ended up with.  It's made almost entirely out of fabric, plus the clasp and a bit of felt and beads.  The lightest colored beads are pretty much a clear off white, not as yellow as they look here. I have chain and ribbon that I could have used but last min got the idea to do the knotted necklace part. It's different and I just LOVE it!

and the action shot....lol
