That's pretty cool, esp. with the woven elastic grid, but don't the accessories bother your laptop?  That would worry me.  Is that little pocket it sits in padded??  Love the fabric, BTW!

The accessories don't really bother the laptop, I just make sure not to let the screen face towards them. And yes, its all padded nicely

My husband and I have started traveling more frequently lately and
I've been meaning to make a bag for my Mac. I finally got around to it
this week. I used Simplicity 3889, bag C. I had to make a few changes
to the sizing and some of the finishing. I got an idea from a photo I
saw to make one side of the bag a woven grid of elastic so I could
organize all my little accessories. Here's the pics! Comments/
critiques welcome!

This is awesome. I was so stoked when I got that boye set of needles, but hated the case upon first glance. I had to make myself a new case and now I might have to make some new cables. 

Do these stay attached to the needles better than the original ones?
