1  Re: Mrs. Darcy KAL in Knitalongs by Glaistig on: May 21, 2007 06:30:59 PM
Against my better judgment (i.e., extreme PMS -- and accompanying feelings of looking bloated  Tongue ), here's a picture of my Mrs. Darcy:

The yarn is Classic Elite Skye Tweed in the color Loch Ness. I need to re-block the curvy front border better. And, although the ribbing waist part lined up fine, as a result, I need to add an extra gold button to the ribbing part.

Thanks again for the very lovely pattern Indie-knitter   Grin  I can't wait to see other finished versions.

I made one (from some very old stash black acrylic and white Lamb's Pride) and I love him:

It was a nice intro to I-Cord for me  Cheesy Thanks Sunshyne!

Yay for Jemmer!! Your stockings look fabulous!   :)I really wish I had read your blog comments before starting my socks b/c they are quite helpful (shortening the heel, changing the needle size, etc.)  My second sock is also better than my first. I should have adjusted better for my scrawny legs  Sad. . . .

Seeing all the different color combos (Rougeau's, Spacepants', Jemmer's, etc.) almost makes me want to knit another pair.  Here are mine (forgive the crappy indoor pic), which are also just finished:

I got the Firefly feva!

Here's mine (done in Lamb's Pride Bulky):

My thanks to Mackster and Emisanboo (whose pattern I lazily used) and the other Firefly geeksters here.  I'm a Browncoat newbie and I actually had a great time knitting this hat  Cheesy

Knitalicious, the pink color combo + seed stitch = funky!

i'm considering doing 1 inch less of ribbing on each side, and 2 inches more of mock rib.  think it'll work out?  i'll just have to seam an extra inch into the mock rib. Tongue

I'd love to see that variation. Tee hee, I did about 1/2 inch more of ribbing.  See, that's the thing I love about the Craftsters here -the fearless experimenting.

Here's mine, done with about 3.5 skeins of Lion Brand Dark Rose Heather Wool-Ease:
