do you think they would be good for say a quilted sleeping bag or makeup bags? dont they clean up easier if they stain? i think these would make an awsome gift for a young girl, im just not sure what to do with this type of fabric.

i have a 7 month old 72 pound newfie at my house. i feel your pain. i would not sew him a napkin at this point! he has an old blanket thrown on the floor and an old rug in his crate. he does not chew on either of them, but the moment i make him something im sure he will eat it!  Roll Eyes

7  QUILTING / Quilting: Discussion and Questions / should i cut it up? on: September 01, 2008 05:38:43 PM
i was at the thrift store today looking at sheets and curtains for fabric and came across a duvet (sp). it was half off so i got it for 5 bucks! i loved it as it was a king size (front and back all the same fabric), very soft and a nice fall looking fabric. well i got it home and looked at it really good and its a ralph lauren. there is absolutley nothing wrong with it. so my question is would you tear it up and use it or would you feel bad and want someone to use it for its orignal purpose?

i purchased some very nice looking fabrics at a thift shop today. one is 55% cotton and 45% poly the other is 70% poly and 30% cotton. what quilting projects would they be good for? can i use these in the same project (they do match)?  i have quite a bit of this fabric so i can make something quite large so any ideas would be apreciated. oh and there is a light, med, and dark Smiley
9  COOKING / Recipes and Cooking Tips / Re: broke as heck, ramen recipes? on: August 30, 2008 06:54:58 AM
it never occured to me to put peanut butter in ramen noodles! omg i have to make some now.

i go to the asian market here and buy by the case a brand called mama. it comes with 3 flavor packets in it and they are nice and spicy! put in what you like save the packets you dont like for a friend. i dont think they are nearly as salty and they have LOTS more flavor to them. last time i got duck flavored ones. after i put some pb in them i may just be in heaven! Grin

oh and i pay about 6 dollars for a case of 24! run college students to you  nearest asian store. ramen does not have to taste like bad chicken base!
