3  SEWING IN GENERAL / Machine Embroidery: Discussion and Questions / Re: help! My needle keeps breaking/snapping! Any ideas to why & how I can fix this? on: March 17, 2008 04:19:54 PM
The only times I ever break needles is when something that shouldn't be there is ( Huh) a pin or something. And when the thread gets snagged on the spool. I have some embroidery thread I can not use b/c it does not unroll right and catches.
4  SEWING IN GENERAL / Machine Embroidery: Discussion and Questions / Re: Singer CE-100 (& 200) & EuroPro 100-546 OPINIONS PLZ on: March 08, 2008 01:03:36 PM
I have the 100 and i'm not sure what you mean by you can't create ur own designs unless you get their software, i use thredworks (free) the bobbin issues were problems when the machine first came out but that was years ago and i've had NO problems with my bobbin. One of the first things i did though was email singer and have extra presser feet and screws sent to me they do it free.
Like i said i think the problems were from when the machine first came out, and they've worked through those bugs. I digitize alot - and give away free designs on sewforum, 1000 stitches and bad girls.
hope i helped,
5  SEWING IN GENERAL / Machine Embroidery: Discussion and Questions / Re: what's everyone working on?? on: March 08, 2008 12:58:31 PM
so far i need 2 mickey outfits for my boys (birthday party this month!) a week before the party is easter and a week after the party is hubby's 40th b-day and our anniversary.
Trying to come up with something cool for hubby but no idea yet. hopefully something will hit me soon!
6  SEWING IN GENERAL / Machine Embroidery: Discussion and Questions / Re: Does ANYONE digitize? Or is it all just a myth? on: March 08, 2008 12:56:18 PM
I was nervous at first, i don't know maybe not nervous but not sure if i'd like it. I'm glad i tried it b/c i do alot now. I'm still learning but i love sharing my designs. If you just try it you never know. I use thredworks for now b/c i didn't want to spend alot of $$ & not like digitizing.
7  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: Corset back jacket almost done - advice on sleeves? on: February 05, 2008 02:43:33 PM
Beautiful job!
The bell sleeves work great, I think the 3/4 length looks good there.
If you don't mind, though, may I suggest some sort of small embellishment on the front? Nothing too big as so not to distract from the gorgeous back, but still, something that catches the eye. Maybe a little lace flower brooch on the lapel?

It will have a button in the front, still looking for that "perfect' one. just pinned for now. Is that what you mean? Or do you think it should have something up on the breast of the jacket? Just curious!

Thanks for the comments, i will finish the other sleeve tonight!

Made this jacket for a friend, started to do bell style sleeves now i'm not sure if i should do something different. Even keep them 3/4 long? I just realized the back is not straight looking in the photo, the top loop really isn't crooked!!
Any ideas??
Thanks Smiley

9  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing in General: Discussion and Questions / ? about lycra and like fabrics on: February 04, 2008 02:20:02 PM
When you sew with these fabrics how do you hem? A rolled hem or 3 thread on serger? The 3 thread will look nice but I don't want to do that all the time. Looking for other ideas.
