23  Finished Birdie Sling in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by Craftastrophe on: September 11, 2008 09:50:53 AM
I bought this pattern at the beginning of the summer, and I finally got around to making it.  It was a lot bigger that I expected, but it makes a great school tote.

this was the first AB pattern that I worked with, and I found it very easy to follow!

26  First digital scrapbooking page of my kitty in Scrapbooking: Completed Projects by Craftastrophe on: July 19, 2008 12:01:17 PM
This is my first attempt at digital scrapbooking.  I used GIMP (which is available for free  Cheesy) to create the page and the background/elements are from www.shabbyprincess.com from the Moody Blues Collection (also for free  Grin)

Also, I have never worked with the program like GIMP/Photoshop before, so I used a tutorial from http://www.scrapbooksgonedigital.com/TUTORIALS/.

Let me know what you guys think!

29  Tropical Tote in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by Craftastrophe on: June 07, 2008 08:46:13 AM
Here are some pictures of a bag that I made for my friend for her birthday.  I used 1/2 yard of my printed fabric and 1/2 yard of the pink.  My favorite part about this bag are the straps because they were so incredibly easy.  Instead of making fabric-covered straps, I found this belting that had a very textured and beachy feel.

closeup of the fabric - i quilted around each large rectangle in the pattern

my finished product...
