anybody know what to do with thick as it can be hair.  my hair, which may not look too thick in this picture , is incredibly full. so full in fact that hairdressers complain when they cut it.  i've had the same long hair forever.  when i get bored...i chop it all off but i end up hating it because it just gives me an afro (and not a cool gorgeous one).  i decided to just cut bangs and dye them red last time i got bored.  i like them only now i'm bored again.  i want something shorter...i locw pigtails...especially the cute little ones...
here's my hair now...

here are cuts i like...does anyone know if i could pull this off or is my hair too unruly???

ugh, i'm jealous . . .so many cool hairstyles . . . i keep trying to find THE hairstyle for me but i always end up going through a cycle - cut it, hate it, grow it out, bored with it, cut it . . . etc. . . right now its long and getting on my last damn nerve . . . blah.  anybody have an idea for a haircut for a gal with thick hair that likes to get poofy when short, i'm all ears.  i usually hate it when i cut it because it poofs and won't do what i want it to do.  i grow it out because the weight of long hair prevents the frizzies . . .however, i don't like it long either, too boring.

i hate this pic, but its the only one i can find on the computer with my hair down

this is how my hair usually looks as it annoys the shit out of me when its down . . .

*sigh* i need new hair.

i guess i should add that i'd don't like sitcom hair for lack of a better term.

i recieved my swap goodies yesterday . . . . wheeeeee!!!! absolutely love them, every single one.  thank you snowwhitesuicide!  i got a jingly jangly silver bracelet with little word charms on them with the word "create" on them . . . me thinks i have found the bracelet i shall wear when i am attempting to create something, sort of like a good luck charm to get the creativity flowing . . it makes such a pretty tinkling noise  Smiley.  i also recieved a red beaded and skully piece that serves double duty . . .i can either wear it as a necklace or it also looks awesome double uped as a bracelet . . .and last but certainly not least because it is my FAVORITE . . . a knitted wine red and black cuff that laces up with black ribbon . . . snowwhitesuicide, the boy i like came over yesterday and was drooling all over this yummy confection . . . hehehehehe . . . i guess i know what to wear when i plan on hanging out with him . . . THANK YOU SO MUCH!  you did a wonderful job on them all, especially for being a busy girl getting hitched and all that . . . i love my new goodies very much.

i had a really bad day today . . . . some of you know this (booglass and nessagurl  Smiley) but i recently broke up with my bf of 4 years and life just plain sucks right now . . . i'm trying to find a new place to live because i can't afford the apartment on my own, i'm in the middle of finals right now . . . .today was aweful . . . but then i can home and found a special surprise from australia.  Cheesy THANK YOU, crumpet.  it made my day suddenly much better.  crumpet sent me a wonderful handmade journal inspired by naughty jayne sneaking a peak at simon's diary . . . it even has these quotes in the first few pages. . ."dear diary, today i was pompous and my sister was crazy." and "today we were kidnapped by hill folk never to be seen again.  it was the best day ever."  its beautiful and just what i needed.  i was actually looking for journals the other day, but didn't want to shell out the cash for one.  this is perfect.  also included was a yummy drawing of giles from buffy.  you are VERY talented by the way.  this one is going to be framed and hung on the wall of my new bedroom whenever i find my new apartment . . . thank you soooooooooooo much.

6  Re: "In Memory" shirt and girl's bathroom sign shirt in Stenciling: Completed Projects by urbankitty on: February 11, 2005 07:36:35 AM
Lol!  I remember algebra classes and homework . . . I think.  Its been awhile.  eh, if it makes you two feel better, yesterday after work, I spent about 3 hours entering data into SPSS for my sociology research project class.  My group is doing a study on the gender stereotypes in caldecott award winners and honors books (children's picture books).  GRRRRR!!!!!  Talk about some serious eye strain after entering 0,1,7,8,9, and 2 for that long.  I think I filled in the data for maybe 200 illustrations.  BLAH!  I only have maybe 900 illustrations more to go . . . .

Oh, and a pic of a very young barry.  This was before I met him.  I believe it was his 18 birthday, the first b-day party he ever celebrated (his mum was a jehovah witness and an utter wench)  When I met Bear he didn't have the fetching mohawk, but he was wearing a big cowboy hat, suspenders, black pants, and boots and walking about the venue with a pipe hanging out of his mouth.  *sigh* memories.

So . . . I took photos of the great jewelry krazigal made me only to realize that I have a scanner.  This got me thinking . . . I can either wait until I get my film developed (takes me FOREVER) or I can try to scan the goodies. I went with scanning the goodies.  It worked pretty well although might I add that scanning a ring is awfully hard to do.  The heart in the picture is the ring Krazigal made me.  I LOVE red. . . . . thanks again, Erin.

8  "In Memory" shirt and girl's bathroom sign shirt in Stenciling: Completed Projects by urbankitty on: February 04, 2005 05:34:58 PM
Well . . . . I completed these awhile ago, but it takes me a long time to get film developed.  The first shirt is in memory of one of my best friends.  I met Barry in 95 (when I was 15) and he changed my life forever.  He was more like my older brother than a friend.  He was always there for me.  He committed suicide about a little over a week before Christmas '99 and shattered my world.  Its been over 5 years and it still hurts but I consider this shirt to be part of the healing process.

front of shirt - underneath barry are the words "Rock Star" for no other reason than he was my rock star.   Smiley  oh, and the details in the face are better than they appear in this photo.

back of shirt - bear's full name and etcetera . . . Don't think this will show up very well . . . too small probably . . oh well

This next shirt was just for fun.  I used the girl's bathroom symbol and put the korean word for girl/woman underneath it.
weeee. . . . stenciling is fun . . .

Yes, yes . . . I realize I'm a piss poor model . . . I felt incredibly goofy "modeling" for these pics . . . .

Anywho, I'm awfully proud of these two shirts, especially the first.  Bear means a lot to me and it was good therapy for me.

9  Re: I love you in different languages in Valentine's Day by urbankitty on: January 16, 2005 08:52:51 AM
That site is cool, but . . .  if you use the korean, it would be better to write it as it actually is written.  That site is perhaps useful for languages that share the same alphabet, but for the other langauages that have a different alaphet, you would never see "I love you" written like that.  That said I would stick with this pronounciation (sah rang hae yo).  they list "rang" as an 'l' sound which isn't wrong entirely, the sound is more of an r/l sound.  Koreans, like the Japanese don't differentiate between the two sounds so sometimes it sound like a combo of both.  Here's the proper spelling.  Each group of letters corresponds with a sound.  Have fun with your bf's card.
