1  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Adult dress from toddler shirt tutorial on: January 03, 2012 08:11:20 PM
I found some kids Harry Potter shirts and wondered if there are any tutorials or anything to turn them into an adult sized dress (Using extra fabric of course)
2  CLOTHING / Shoes: Discussion and Questions / HELP? Insole doobies? on: August 25, 2011 04:48:27 AM
I just started painting up shoes, which look fricking wicked! And I was wondering if there are templates out there somewhere for making the bottoms of the insides of shoes? I wanted to take the old ones out, or maybe just glue over the top of them?

I just need templates coz I can't figure out how to gauge the size and shape especially since I'm painting mostly like 6" heels @_@

Any ideas (or clue what I'm talking about?)
3  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / I swear one day I'll make something that I love that fits on: June 25, 2011 07:46:50 PM
Any ideas on how to make something fit nicely that looks good without a dressform?

I really want a dressform, but MAN I'm sooooooo poor
4  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / 2 pants & 1 cute shirt! on: June 25, 2011 06:03:11 AM
Today I just felt like sewing... So I made lots of stuff...

1st thing was a pair of pants for my son... Half denim & half pirate-cotton fabric... The bum bit is a bit too small for his big bum Cheesy...

2nd thing: I reconstructed a XL shirt & a curtain into a cute shirt!

3rd thing was a nightie converted into a pair of PJ pants for my friends daughter
5  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Discussion and Questions / First House!!! on: March 15, 2011 10:31:09 PM
Within the next fortnight or so me and my boyfriend are moving into the first house we can actually decorate and stuff like it's our own...

I'm SOOOOOO stoked!

But I need some ideas... It's a bigger task than I imagined... And I've got this kind of idea of how I'd like it, but I'm really scatterbrained... And I keep thinking about the small stuff instead of the bigger more important stuff...

I've got an idea for the kitchen cupboards, dark blue with brown stencils of hydrangea or some pretty stencils I can find...
I also wanna stencil gold designs on the ceiling, and black designs on the fans...

But it's a 4 bedroom house, + hallway + dining area + kitchen + laundry + bathroom + toilet
And I've only got 3 ideas @_@...

Links would be awesome... Please help if you can @_@...
My Tumblr has a few of my little ideas -> inspirational-love.tumblr.com

<3 Thanks guys!
6  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / Denim Quilt on: February 28, 2011 07:09:43 PM
I've never made a quilt before, so this is my first ever! Any comments?

It's just pinned for now since I no longer have a sewing table >.<...

It's still a WIP, I'll upload finished pics too when it's done Cheesy
7  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / My Old New Drawers :D (Pic OBESE) on: February 28, 2011 07:07:06 PM
Here's the 1st set of drawers I did

I lined the insides of all the drawers!

Here's the second set that I'm giving to a friend Smiley

I'm also making a denim quilt, but I think I'll put that in a different section... Looking forward to seeing what you guys think
8  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Lolita skirt & questions on: March 21, 2010 10:12:08 PM
Question first: What do you guys think would be better for a Lolita skirt & dress, elastic or zippers or buttons or snap clips? Because I have no idea... I've never really used buttons or zippers before, only really elastic... But I'm interested to know, since one of my friends now asked me to make her an Alice in Wonderland dress ^_^... And I don't know how to go about it... What do usual skirts have? Also another friend asked me to make her one in black with red or purple lace ^_^

Also I was thinking about making a mini-skirt version of this skirt, what do you think? ^_^

This is also my first real piece of clothing from scratch, what do you guys think? ^_^

Made using measurements from this tutorial

Orange Slice Earrings

Then my friends bugged me to make it eyes Smiley

Moogle Hat

Ninja Balaclava

For another friend (Golly gosh I love my friends)

Lastly, Eevee hat

10  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / Kimono shirt & Pirate pants on: March 14, 2010 05:55:08 PM
So I've been trying to find tutorials everywhere because I'm useless with patterns and still consider myself a beginner at sewing Cheesy...

BUT, I'm due to have my first child on the 8th of August and last Tuesday I found out that I'm having a beautiful baby boy <3... As you can probably understand, I'M SUPER EXCITED

So I want to make him some lovely things Cheesy... He's also going to be very spoilt... He's the first grandchild for my mother and my fiance's mother, and the first male great grandchild for my Nan & Pop Cheesy... So very very spoilt Cheesy...

But here's what I've made him this weekend ^_^...

Kimono wrap top, using Habitual's pattern (which is amazing)

I made the kimono wrap shirt from some silky ribbon I had in my stash and some old pillow cases @_@...

Pirate pants, made from pirate fabric that I bought last April (on special) and some elastic I had in my stash

For a beginner I would say not bad Tongue... I look forward to posting more stuff Cheesy
