11  Ruffled frippery in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by akuma2636 on: August 25, 2009 11:12:22 PM
I'm in the process of making a Pirate costume for an online comedy show that I'm a part of, and since we're all very poor I'm going to be making the costumes out of bits and pieces from second-hand stores ^_^

I only started today, I'll probably post more as I do it...

Here's first out of many things I've created

What I did was... I bought an old curtain cut off the frilly edges.
Got a piece of orange cotton fabric I had laying around, cut that into a large triangle
Stitched pieces of the frilly in lines onto the orange triangle
Then cut a piece of cotton fabric large enough to fit around my fiance's neck (he's the pirate)
Hemmed it, and sew the frilly onto it.
Then I got out my handy dandy hot glue gun and glued on some velcro at the back

I made some cuffs too, which was just a small piece of cotton with some left over frilly sewn on ^_^

This pirate is going to be very well dressed Cheesy!

Here's a pirate photo, convincing, no? Cheesy
And you can see my T-shirt designs in the background Tongue

12  2 dresses, 1 onesie & a baby beanie in Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects by akuma2636 on: April 18, 2009 03:02:26 AM
Just some stuff I've made the past week Cheesy!~
My best-friend is pregnant with twins, so I've decided to make her some stuff Cheesy!!! I certainly hope that they're girls but no-one knows yet :3

1. Baby Beanie

Very simplistic Cheesy!

2. Pirate Onesie

I have Sailor material enough to make another Cheesy!

I'm really proud of this one... This is the only REAL thing I've ever made from scratch Cheesy!!! Since they're twins I was going to make a set of Pirate-like outfits for one and a set of Sailor-like outfits for the other XD...

3. Black and Pink Striped Dress

I made this one from a womans blouse I got from the thrift store Cheesy!! It's so cute Cheesy!

I could have done the back better but, I have a lot more blouses to attack XD...
For the back I found a tute on the web for I think it was knife pleating? So I tried that for no particular reason XD

4. Black and White Striped Dress

This was actually the first one I made Cheesy!~ From a jacket that didn't fit me... But was so cute ;_;

Back, looks really bad though... I stuff up with the zipper though >.<...

Comments and criticisms most welcome!~

This is a handbag I made out of a pair of pyjama shorts for the outside and a night-dress for the inside Cheesy!!!
The straps are the extra elastic I had laying around from pulling a top apart XD...

14  First Reconstruction - Lolita Skirt in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by akuma2636 on: April 18, 2009 02:46:09 AM
This is just a skirt I made from an old (and very very ugly) night-dress

Hope you guys like it.

I just cut the bottom of the night gown off and hemmed the top to fit a piece of elastic through... Very, very simple... Cheesy!~
Although it's a little bit see-through XD

15  My first bag <3 in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by akuma2636 on: April 05, 2009 02:50:41 AM
This is my first ever bag... Although I probably should of used a tutorial of some kind -_-'

It's made out of Wisteria Yukata fabric on the outside and very very thin waterlily Yukata fabric for the lining... I forgot to take a picture of the lining...

As always constructive criticism and helpful hints are always greatfully accepted Cheesy!!!~

P.S I know the handles are a little bit funny but I think I know how to fix them for my next bag Cheesy

16  Neko Raver Outfit in Costumes: Completed Projects by akuma2636 on: April 05, 2009 02:43:09 AM
I was bored last night so I made this Neko Raver outfit... I don't know if it's supposed to go in costumes but... It's a Raving costume XD...

I think it's cute :3... Bare in mind I have never really sewn anything big before... Constructive criticism is appreciated Cheesy!!! Very very very appreciated!

The Raver Skirt, very fluffy and warm

The cuffs, ARE HUGE...

The bra/bikini, I need to perfect this one more than anything (except maybe the skirt)

Boot covers, this is why I orginally bought the fabric Tongue... I made 2 pairs... And I'm thinking about selling the second pair XD

These are the kitty ears, I'm making a tut for them atm my friend asked... 3 of my friends have asked me to make them some as well... Cheesy!!

What do you guys think? I can't wait to hear comments and critique
