Ohhhhh...lots of good ideas...thanx guys! Purchased a dremel last x-mas for him and he made some really cool cases...even made a hello kitty one for me Tongue ...My nerd is all nerd! He loves vintage video games...linux...anti-microsoft stuff...and anything that goes beep beep in the night! I should definitely make a t-shirt that says "I will not fix your computer" cause thats one of his pet peeves (people thinkin' he'll fix their computer for them) ...good one!!!

Hello...I'm looking for some nerdy ideas for some nerdy crafts!  My husband is a nerd, and I'm looking for some nerdy craft ideas to make him for Christmas. So far I've made him t-shirts in the past that have his name in binary code, and another t-shirt that said "talk nerdy to me"

Any new ideas would be great!

Good Luck!
1095  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Monograming with Yarn on: September 28, 2004 04:51:11 AM
A knifty knitter is just a company that makes plastic knitting looms...you can check it out at

I hope that works cause I haven't entered a link before...sorry if it doesn't!
The knifty knitter is super easy!  I have a real hard time knitting cause my finger/hand co-ordination sucks! So the knifty knitter is great.  Although I am hoping to get the Stitch n' Bitch book in a couple weeks for my b-day...hopefully then, I will be able to learn normal knitting...

Good luck to you...

Hello...this is my first post, so I hope that I am in the correct section...I need a little help.  I am new at knitting, and found out that my co-ordination is not good at all!!! So I decided to try the knifty knitter...wow I can knit something! So my question is...Is there any way I can add a monogramed letter on my hat after I have knitted it.  Can I embroider a letter on a knitted cap, the same way as normal embroidaring or is there a special technique.  If someone could help me out, or direct me to a good site or a book, I would really appreciate it.
