18  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Discussion and Questions / Re: What do you reckon these are made from? on: June 28, 2008 03:06:25 PM
I was gonna say lycra/spandex stuff, but after looking at them again, the shorts seem to be more of a cotton. The leggings look like they are a thinner material-some kinda nylon type stuff.

Have you tried contacting them and just asking what material their shorts are? Seems like bike shorts kinda cotton

ETA: I found it! It was on a different store's site...
80% Nylon 20% Spandex
19  CLOTHING / Clothing for Curvaceous Craftsters: Discussion and Questions / Re: Help me make a Brides garter... please on: June 28, 2008 02:55:27 PM
easy! Just sew a looong tube out of satiny or whatever stuff you want(right sides together)--if you want lace, incorporate that into the seam--then turn right side out. The seam (with lace) becomes your bottom edge, now thread elastic through...sew elastic together, and then finish off the tube by turning under the raw edges and stitching closed. Then you can embellish it any way you want!
