1  FIBER ARTS / Felting: Completed Projects / Steel Wool Sheep on: July 21, 2012 09:39:49 AM
Here are a couple of guys I made - one slightly larger than the other.  They are a undyed merino wool base, with merino wool heads, black merino wool legs & eyes.  The gray is grade #0 steel wool.  A bit messy to make, because the steel wool "sheds," but they are neat (I think) all the same.

You are "more or less happy" with this?  It is A-maz-ing!  I needle felt, but nothing of this caliber.  Stay cool.
3  FIBER ARTS / Felting: Completed Projects / Nuno Felted Shawl on: October 15, 2011 01:26:11 PM
This is a green/gold iridescent silk I nuno felted green, yellow, and blue wool onto.  With the green & yellow wool, I had some problems with it attaching.  Upon further research, I think the problem might be that I don't think those are merino wools, I think they are a kinkier fiber.  It still turned out okay - nothing I would sell, but if someone likes it, I might give it to them.  Or just keep it for myself, though I rarely do that!

Here are some pics:

4  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Re: st patricks day mohawk hat on: March 09, 2009 07:03:24 PM
It's so cool!  I have a friend I want to make this for (she's going through chemo, so is losing her hair - what better excuse to have a mohawk?).  Is it from Dominitrix or your own pattern?
5  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / M's Guy on: March 09, 2009 07:00:51 PM
So, my BF is a computer scientist who says all self-respecting computer scientists wear beards (he does, of course).  So I made him a little guy.  I'm not 100% this is where it should be, but here he is:

Here's the little one just lounging with one of his more 'traditional' looking pals:

A closer shot:

I'm not computer smart at all.  I don't know what kind of computer bit the eyes actually are, but the BF saw them & realized instantly that they were perfect eyes.  He's so smart!

Let me know what you think!!

Oh woomi, what a bad boy!  I love all of them, they are awesome (but bad) but awesome!
7  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Re: Moustache Bag :) on: February 28, 2009 04:34:28 PM
Of course, who doesn't love mustaches.  Oh, and mustache march swiftly approaches!  I find a needle felted one works for those of us who don't grow them naturally.
8  FIBER ARTS / Felting: Completed Projects / Re: Monster challenge 09- The Call of Chtulhu on: February 28, 2009 04:31:48 PM
Oh God, I hope I never get a text of Chtulhu.  Well, or maybe I do, what kind of things would Chtulhu text anyway?  I love him!

What awesome aliens & story.  To be able to do that well at 8!!!  Very impressive, think what you'll be able to do at 9 or 10!!
10  FIBER ARTS / Felting: Completed Projects / Re: my green felt cuff on: February 12, 2009 04:34:05 PM
I have a friend who is in love with cuffs. . . may I borrow (steal) your idea & make one for her?  It's really awesome & she would freak for one like it.
