Hi! I'm a crafter in the Greensburg area just wondering if there were others like me. Smiley
12  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / graphing question on: June 14, 2008 02:11:02 PM
does anyone know a site where I can figure out how to make graph an idea for a pattern? I can't release all the information cause it's for a swap and I might have a stalker, but any help would be most grateful.  Smiley

P.S. I'm a lefty, so I don't know if that'll make a difference....
13  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / large coil vase (4 pics) on: May 01, 2008 08:28:05 AM
Made this in ceramics this year! I'm super duper proud of it! I did all the carvings on it and I think it turned out excellent.  It was glazed in celadon which is supposed to be a clearish and the others are embellished with boston brown.
On with the pictures!

15  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / vases from Vietnam on: February 26, 2008 06:23:33 PM
I didn't make these, but my aunt in Vietnam did.  They're really neat.  She folds all these pieces of paper into triangle-y things, glues, and then stacks them on each other.   Cheesy I thought they were super neat, so I wanted to share them with you! Smiley

16  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / scarf and camera bag! :) on: February 16, 2008 04:45:18 PM
Here's a scarf I made out of bamboo yarn.  It feels so nice but it's a little skinny.  Modeled by my grandma.  She's pretty awesome Tongue

An example of the colors:

I love this camera bag.  I think it's my favorite FO to date.  With a fully operable drawstring!  Smiley

17  Pennsylvania / Pennsylvania: Northwest / Slippery Rock/Grove City area on: February 06, 2008 01:39:33 PM
Hey there everyone! Is anyone close to Slippery Rock/Grove City?! I feel like the only hooker on the SRU campus!
18  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / recycled sari silk question on: January 31, 2008 08:56:45 PM
So I won all this recycled silk on E-Bay and it looks fantastically beautiful! *yay* I'm really excited to make something with it!
Trouble is, when I went to look for patterns for it, most of it was knit, which I can't do with any sort of expertise at all cause I just started to learn how to do it. *boo*

Any suggestions? I'd really love to make something, but I read that you need to pair it and be real careful when you use it.  I'm really sorta rough on things, which saddens me cause I love delicate stuff.  Any sort of input would be fantastic!
19  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / granny square purse on: January 29, 2008 04:03:10 PM
Not your traditional granny square of course! A 5 corner granny square purse birthed when I figured out that it was nearly impossible to whip stitch a bunch of these together.  They didn't want to fit right so....

and inside....

i had MASSIVE trouble with the lining because I FAIL at sewing but hey, at least i tried! :-P
