I have also been delinquent in posting in here.  I received from pleaseelise last week, but just managed to find my camera's cord today.  So, ta-dah!

An awesome checkbook cover (already in use) and needleholder:

And a ton of glass beads!  I LOVE the square purpley ones:

Thanks pleaseelise!!

102  Textile collage cuff in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by CamOovas on: May 14, 2008 10:29:24 PM
I made this for a swap, and I couldn't just let it go without giving it it's own topic.

I've never done anything like this before, so it took me hours -and that was just me staring at the fabric piles and beads trying to make them make sense in my head.  Smiley  Anyway, I love the result. It's a combination of fabric remnants, fabric glue, some handsewing, beads, buttons and other random bits.

I just realized that these pictures were taken before I put the other end of the closure on. I searched everywhere for some black elastic rope before realizing I could just cut a hair tie in half.  Hopefully I will make more of these at some point, and hopefully the next ones will take less time.

More gummies

A tiny pointy kitty!

Zippy pouches!

A beaded button necklace, and the coolest thing I've ever seen done with Shrinly dink:

Many pictures of this awesome bag!!!

Plus!  The left over fabric and buttons!

I love everything!  I'm super excited to show off my new bag and pouches and necklace at work tomorrow!  I know you're all jealous. You should all get in line to swap with THANATE because she rocks!

It reads: "Vegetarian gummies!!  Do you like them? I have more....  -your crafty stalker"

I was having such a crappy day and then I found this and it cheered me right up!!  Thanks so much, and I love them!  Never even heard of them before.  But NOW I know that my stalker is from the United States.... got it narrowed down now to about.... 20 people?

106  Some ruined earrings. I need help. in Polymer Clay: Completed Projects by CamOovas on: April 13, 2008 06:15:21 PM
First, I made a super cute pair of clay earrings that I cant show because they are for a super secret swap, and they came out perfectly. So I tried to make some more earrings from clay, but this time when I tried to screw the pin in, the clay cracked and started crumbling around it.  I made a hole where the screw would go before baking them.  The first clay was newer, would that have made the difference? Or maybe the first time I screwed the pin in before it was cooled and hardened all the way?  You can kind of see the crackage on the left penguin on the bottom photo.

I covered over/into the cracks with glaze, so they might hold up a little bit, but I can't very well sell these or give them as gifts, as they may fall apart entirely if they are worn too much.  If you want them, or one, or something, with or without the ear hooks, pm me, they're yours.

107  Re: Crafty Detective Round 4 (SIGN UPS ended, SEND OUTS 5/14/08) in ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED by CamOovas on: April 06, 2008 11:34:28 AM
My purse:

Only green with a black strap.  And I LOVE it.  I got this size because it is the perfect size to carry my animal rights pamphlets without bending them.  Smiley

Shameless plug for Overland Equipment:  These bags are awesome. Mine is about three years old and still like new.  It's gone through the washer several times even though the tag says it's not supposed to.  Plus they are Californian made.  Although I will never give up my purse, I definitely welcome more bags! I always got stuff to haul.

108  Re: Fleece Puppy Bed *NOW WITH TUT ON PAGE 3* in Pet-Related Crafts: Completed Projects by CamOovas on: April 02, 2008 08:55:59 PM
As requested:

The beds (I made two) are only lightly stuffed, because I anticipated (correctly) them being urinated upon and having to be washed out.  Turns out they like one of them to be the urinal and the other to be the bed.

I also started a new topic cuz I've been wanting to show off my homemade cage:

**Edited because I said "actually" too much.

109  I made a guinea pig cage (pic heavy) in Pet-Related Crafts: Completed Projects by CamOovas on: April 02, 2008 08:51:16 PM
I think the inspiration came from here: www.guineapigcages.com
It's still a work in progress, I would like to add on to it when I find a bigger place to keep it, and the upstairs is pretty bare, I only wanted wood shavings on the bottom.  I made the bed(s) based on this tutorial: https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=236744.0 , only smaller.  Smiley   They usually have hay and a box-cave as well, but they ate them both shortly before these photos.

110  I said I wanted a pot rack in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by CamOovas on: April 02, 2008 08:11:54 PM
...and by the time I got home from work my girlfriend had made this from a recliner she found on the curb and a jar full of washers that came with our house:

She can pretty much do anything.
