1  Black and White Mini Top hat in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by alacorn on: June 30, 2008 12:20:26 AM
chello! So I found these amazing Top hats (originally for teddys) at Micheals for 3 dollars. Picked one up and put some ribbon on it and a comb in side and presto, mini top hat!

Inside (comb moves to you can put it on)

and me modeling the hat a few minutes ago (it was 11pm and my hair was angry!)
See the Tutu here: https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=254423.msg2837694#msg2837694

Thanks for looking =^-^=
P.S Sorry about the poor Image quality. I am a good photographer but this camera has eaten too much sand and refuses to be nice to me XP.

Hello! So I really love mens ware inspired womens clothing. and when I saw this tutorial https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=215158.0

So heres me modling the tutu a few minutes ago (it was 11pm and my pjs are underneath)
Go here to see the hat: https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=254425.0

Thanks for looking! =^-^=
P.S Sorry about the poor Image quality. I am a good photographer however... my camera thinks the desert means the same as desert and sucked up too much of it, so now it wont behave properly...

3  1st ever PC projects; Oswald, MarioMushroom, BerrySheep, Cupcake and a poopie! in Polymer Clay: Completed Projects by alacorn on: June 30, 2008 12:05:24 AM
Hey! So I just started experimenting with polymer clay and modeling clay! I used Premo clay, Sculpy glaze and Rossart clay, the latter of which didn't have cooking instructions so they died and melted in the oven Sad but i was smart/silly enough to use a muffin tin to cook them in so my polymer clay charms were ok.
Sadly the melted ones were better then the ones I'm going to post.

P.S Sorry about the poor Image quality. I am a good photographer but this camera has eaten too much sand and refuses to be nice to me XP.

#1: Oswald hatless the Octopus! (didn't have the color for his hat)

#2: Mario Mushroom

#3: Baa Baa Blackberry Sheep

#4: Shiny Cuppy-Cake

#5: The Poopie (once a bad cake)

so thats about it. I'll be making more soon.
Thanks for looking!
Feed back, Tips on how to glaze and Tips on how not to leave behind finger prints are MUCH appreciated. =^-^=

5  Scottish kilt outfit(s) WARNING: Image Heavy *FIRST EVER PROJECT POST!* in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by alacorn on: April 05, 2008 04:41:40 PM
Hi! so this is my first completed project to be posted on crafster  Grin uber excited!!! so my little brother had to do an oral presentation on a country of his choice. he chose scotland and asked me to make him a kilt so he could get extra credit. despite not havening sewn anything for 4 years i agreed but took it a wee bit further and made a full out fit! flashes, tammy hat, sash & an imitation kilt! oh and a small project from the extra material Wink on to the pics!

(they hold up socks)

Tammy hat

(reaches from the top of the door all the way to the bottom)

imitation kilt

i made 5 pleats cause i didnt have enough material to do a full kilt all pleated so two to the side and three in the back.

i used snaps to hold it together

My bro in his full outfit
(isnt he handsome?)

That side project i mentioned, made from excess fabric for my puppy toby

Toby in his kilt
(hes so cute <3)

all in all im throughly happy with everything but the tammy hat cause it didnt turn out right and i never hemed the edges Sad

6  Re: What Color Curtain For Bathroom? and Floor question! in Interior Decorating: Discussion and Questions by alacorn on: March 27, 2008 01:00:26 AM
first off i applaud you for taking on such a big task!
k so here are some ideas...

1. privacy!!! - i live in a tiny apartment so i know how key this is (no pun intended), i would sugest you go to home depo and get a 5 dollar chrome slide lock (like the kind in public restrooms), two 10 dollar chrome door pull handles (also like public restrooms) and attack these to your door. fill up that hole in the door with a piece of wood (painted to match and cut to fit) and use wood glue to keep it in place.

2. curtains - just get red curtains to match your accessories. if you want a patteren id sugest something classic like dots, checkers or film strips

3. floor - i would highly sugest filling in the holes with concrete. it wouldnt take much. and you could put in some cheap tile. like maybe a patteren like this:

or you could do a photo trasfer on to some of the tiles
